A pretty straightforward one, but Tyler Warren for me. I think you're right and they'd have to trade up to go and get him but it could be worth it, honestly. We've been pretty starved at TE for a bit. Usually under Ballard as GM the Colts prefer trading back than trading forward, but he's already broken from convention this off-season by signing Bynum and Ward in the FA market, and he's very clearly on his last stand in the hot seat after last season, so who knows... if ever there was a time that he'd break with his usual approach and get aggressive with trading up, I reckon this is it That said, I'd be happy with Colston Loveland too. Just want them to take one of the top TEs
I personally prefer Loveland, but yeah they both look very exciting. Not sure if both will go before 14 but depends on the Colts. If they have a strong preference either way they probably need to trade up, but if they don’t then they can just sit and wait and see when the first of them goes and then consider trading up for the other.
I was more of a Loveland guy at the start of the draft cycle but then switched over to Warren. Would def not be disappointed with him. Think I probably got swayed to Warren by the noises coming out of the Colts draft room and a couple of the offense saying they think he's a great talent specifically Last year they stood pat and Laiatu Latu fell into our laps as the first defensive player off the board at #15 - so wouldn't surprise me if something along those lines transpires tonight with another player we're perhaps not even discussing right now!
Yeah that is the beauty of this draft, with so many players similarly rated it just depends on who the teams like more, which feels almost impossible to predict. I mean I’ve seen one expert have the Patriots taking McMillan at 4 and I’ve seen others not even have him going in the first round, that has never happened before. Not long to wait to see how it all unfolds
Top 3 as expected, even if the Jags moving up was a bit of a surprise. Now is where it is all an unknown
Will Campbell probably the most predictable of all the directions they could’ve gone. Can see a bit of a run on O line now
With the way the board has fallen I think the cowboys might take Warren, you’d think it’s between him and Golden for them
Yeah wrong Tyler. Glad Booker wasn’t there for the Vikings, doesn’t fit the scheme at all. All the interior D line are still there and Jalon Walker is falling for some reason
And now literally everyone I had on my list to take in the first round is gone Didn’t expect Campbell to be available this late though so if he is still there then the Vikings should take him, even though he plays in arguably their strongest position. Johnson as well has fallen further than most people thought. They’ll probably go the next two picks before the Vikings. Maybe try and fleece the Browns to come and get Sanders
