I wouldn’t take Tyrick Mitchell if he’s being let go by both Aston Villa and Crystal Palace <cheers>

Don’t believe we’ll spend anything near £100m. Think we’ll look towards some relatively unknowns in Europe, get a few Premier League loanees, probably make both Solomon and Rothwell permanent. Harry will be elevated to the senior squad. Bamford unlikely to be going anywhere.

On outgoings, feel Harrison/Greenwood/Guilavogui/Gelhart and possibly Sam will get moved on. Possibly Wober, but think DF might see a case to keep him.

We stand more chance of signing toms brother Jack Cairney who is a non league centre back.

Only players I would 100% keep are: Rodon-Ampadu-Bogle-Tanaka-Gruev-James.-Ramazani.
Players I would let go off either release or sell Meslier-Cairns-Byram-Bamford-Gnonto-Aaronson-Gelhardt-Gyabi-Guilavogui.
Players I'd keep but squad players. Darlow-Struijk- Schmidt-Piroe.
Players I think will Leave: Firpo-Wober.
Loan: all the young lads none are Premier League level so no point disrupting their progress only way you learn is out and playing in real games. Joseph-Debayo-Chambers-Gray-Crewe
Loanees: Rothwell thanks Love ya but we need better. Soloman yes buy but at a good price.

Think thats all some big decisions to be made from the board as this current squad does not stay up.
We need seasoned Prem players. Leicester & Southampton didnt buy quality more wannabes. Ipswich tried the top championship player route and failed. its a big gap to fill and 17th position is our top of the league next season.

We won’t be getting a few pl loanees. Only allowed two in pl isn’t it

Maximum is 4, but only allowed 2 at a time.

Thus we can get 2 at start of the season and keep them to the end

Or get 2, send them back in January transfer window ( or buy them) and get another 2 in

But you are correct on the main point Eire, in that we are restricted on the number we can get

Evening all. Today is a great day, so very unLeedsy too.

Farke was never backed by Norwich in the PL. He has got more points and we've scored more goals than when we went up under Marcelo. He didn't do too bad with, pretty much the same squad.
I think it has become many times more difficult to stay in the PL even since then but I think Farke has earned his chance. I have doubted him many times this season, as others have, but he could end up with 100 points. It's ridiculous to think of getting rid of him and starting again with someone else. He knows the club and the players. He has proven credentials.
If we were looking for a manager who wouldn't want a man who regularly gets his teams promoted and to 90 points.
Florist and Villa spent big to give themselves a fighting chance and it paid off in spades.
My feeling is that we need to spend at least £60m on gems like Tanaka to have a chance.
It's going to be a rollercoaster ride but I can't wait.
I just hope that the bottom 3 next season include Manure.

There is no one that counts at the club thinking of getting rid of him. It’s just opinions of a few mere fans. Of course he’s earned the right for another season and even if relegated I’d let him have a go at promotion again. A great appointment when nobody else would touch us

Good evening all. Still buzzing and decided on a cheeky week to Spain, flying out tomorrow. Interesting phone in on talkSPORT drive today. The question was if one of the teams promoted were to stay up next season, which of the “established” premier league clubs would drop into the bottom three, as Eire pointed out in another thread, West Ham have been awful but are still 15 points ahead of Ipswich. Lots of Leeds fans phoning in to say we can finish 17th but very few could pick a side that would drop instead.

I can see knowing the players as a bonus, if we start with let’s say, 6-7 of this seasons that would be a great help. It could be partly why Ipswich suffered, too many new faces, too quickly, in an unforgiving league.

Forest and Villa did spend big, they also realised pretty quickly that the coach that earned promotion wasn’t good enough for the PL. Dean Smith, was backed with over £200m of spending over the first two seasons.

Forest also realised that Cooper wasn’t good enough for the top flight.

What I don’t understand, we can all say we don’t have the players ready or good enough to step up to the PL but we automatically assume the coach is good enough as he got us there.

Neil Warnock should be managing Liverpool, Man U or Man City if a coach is judged on gaining promotion.

Farke had the best team, Bielsa had an average team, huge difference.

Been thinking quite a bit about this, the gap is ever widening and like you say the bottom 3 are miles behind 17th, with the lowest combined points ever in the PL. The one's that I can hope for are Brentford, there's a few rumblings that Frank may be looking for a bigger challenge, that with the loss of Mbeumo could have a big impact on them, another is Bournemouth with the loss of Iraola as he too is being linked with bigger things. All speculation obviously but you have to cling on to something. A surprise one could be Notts Forest, qualifying for the CL could impact on their league form, have they the squad to compete in the CL and maintain their PL form, who knows but we have to hope at least one of the present lot have a fall from grace. 12 points from the 2 that come up with us is a must too

Who would have believed Chris Wood would have turned out to be such a good signing. Forest are my surprise possible team, he surely can’t replicate that again. Wolves flirt with danger a few times, as do Everton

Man City might get their punishment next season

Do we keep Darlow as number two or keep him as first choice
Good morning
I think Darlow has earned his place as no1, look at some of his Welsh performances, none to shabby eh, and in my opinion only, Leeds have looked much better with a keeper the defense trusts, and getting more confidence with more game time. so i for one would be happy to keep him at no1 at least for the time being, but yes we do need a new quality keeper for no2, although where from? i do not know, as has been pointed out their is a chronic shortage of quality keepers atm.
And a definite no to Ramsdale, as my Southampton mates reckon he's no better than average at best? so would he be better than Darlow?.
