City win.. They and forest have the easiest games. We need to try and stay above villa and Chelsea. I actually think Villa might win that, but City will win all their remaining games.
Folk are taking the Villa result as a season defining result. Yes, we were ****e, yes, we needed a point and we were outclassed. Dummies, toys and wet nappies hoyed out the pram. It was one game. I’d still rather be in our position than the other four, including Forest. We’re good enough to bounce back.
Forest have a far easier run in and so do Man City. It's just fairly obvious they'll both land 3rd and 4th to me, but strange things can happen. People can have opinions either way.
The only gimme Forest have left is Leicester. Brentford, Palace, West Ham and Chelsea are not certain wins for them. Man City have Villa, a resurgent Wolves, a gimme vs Southampton, then potentially tougher fixtures vs Bournemouth and Fulham. Villa have what looks easier on paper - City, Fulham, Bournemouth could be tougher, but with their form... Need them to drop some points here because their last two look like gimmes in Tottenham and Man Utd. Chelsea - if we beat them they're probably finishing behind us. Their remaining games are all tougher, bar Man Utd. They have Everton, Liverpool, us, Man Utd, Forest.
Or do we want a draw? I genuinely don’t know. If Villa lose tonight then I guess we can focus on 5th. But a draw doesn’t really help either of them.
Man city will finish 3rd regardless of Tonight's result looking at their fixtures. I'd rather go up against villa already 5 points ahead (assuming we beat Ipswich) than City 4..Like ToonArmy1892 says it looks like the job is staying ahead of Chelsea and Villa. I fancy Villa tonight though... It's clear that every single result is going to go against us for the rest of the bastard season.
My thinking is Man City are gonna deffo do it, so we might aswell have them take full points from a fellow competitor.
I really hope you’re wrong then. I want Villa to suffer. They really did a number on us. I would love city to smash them bad.
Win win this evening. Probably best to keep Villa down as they have FA Cup and tougher fixtures. Plus they’re ****s.
Villa need to be cut adrift before their final two, because they are anything but difficult fixtures. Spurs and Man Utd.
