V v we move onto Luton Monday another tough test against a side fighting for their lives to stay in the championship. Luton have won 3 of their last 8 games- Bristol City winning 4 of their last 8 games. Pretty evenly matched regards form. However Luton are fighting to stay in the championship and city are trying to get into the premiership. A draw would not be a disaster but a win would all but guarantee us that playoff spot. However I don’t see it being a walkover city are going to need to take the game to Luton. You reds always believe.
Easter Monday at Kenilworth Road https://www.lutontown.co.uk/en/news/easter-monday-at-kenilworth-road
I’d be more than happy with a point All 3 points would be a dream and that will surely confirm a place in the Playoffs for us
went to luton years ago. Tony Dinning was substituted before half time never played for City again. he was moving so slowly he required dusting!!
I went there when we played them the next game after Millwall fans redesigned it. Got to be honest I thought it was an improvement on the time I went before. It’s a complete **** hole
Strange going through the houses up the stairs looking into peoples gardens Luton is a different country just like Bradford and Birmingham.
Pretty sure all our remaining games are on SKY, I haven’t checked, but certainly seems to be the general feeling. I asked the same question on OTIB and was assured they were. edit Just checked, it is on Sky, starts 14.50
Luton Town’s incredible home record against Bristol City can be catalyst to Championship survival https://eflanalysis.com/news/luton-...ity-can-be-catalyst-to-championship-survival/
That’s not great reading - but it’s also not science. We need to rise above the superstitious stuff and slay that ghost - like we did with Notts Forest and Preston.
I remember a 0-0 draw there, possibly the season we got to the old 1st Division and I also remember a 3-0 win there with an amazing Andy Cole hat trick Hoping that those memories bring good luck this afternoon
In what now feels like a previous life I went to game at Luton, a large number of City fans arrived on the train. The small group I was part of deliberately avoided a far larger group of City fans who obviously were firm. We entered a pub called the White House and went into the empty lounge, the bar was full of Luton fans and as we ordered drinks, the police including Avon and Somerset entered the lounge to inform us we could not drink in the pub for our safety, as it was home fans only. Virtually at that moment we could see past the police into the bar and the group of City fans mentioned earlier entered the pub, tables chairs glasses the lot went up a millisecond later.
yes another strange one going through the middle of houses. As Ashton Gate has a similar situation where access is gained between houses when going into the Dolman from the park end and the rear entrance going towards the Lansdowns Ateyo stand.
It’s funny cuz Luton fans are predominately white but when you leave the ground it is like being in a different country.
