Just like Luton, Sheff Wed, Watford, Coventry, Swansea.....Nothing changes. 4 points from a possible 15....It doesn't make good reading.Preston is a must win.....

Doesn't strike me as inspirational, Doesnt strike me as someone who would kick off after a performance like today, more say 'we have to do better on Monday', doesnt strike me as a great tactician, either defensively or attacking. All this vertical bollocks shows how crap we are as we have mistaken that for horizontal, both in play and the attitude of the players. In short if some of us have seen It, unless he's a great talker, this is not what Acun signed him up for.
Yep he did. He can’t do it again MondaySeen a lot of people on Twitter calling the players spineless. I’ve been critical of a lot of the squad this season and spineless is a word I’ve used even when they downed tools under Walter. Today I don’t even think it was that. They were just ****. Maybe it’s a mix of both. Nobody seems to want to take responsibility. With Alzate, at least you get someone dropping deep asking for the ball under pressure, which is something Seri did a lot too. Without him, it was up to Slater or Puerta to do that job but neither seemed confident to provide a passing option to Pandur or the two centre-halves.
With nobody willing to link play between the lines, we just had to knock it long or try to work it to Gelhardt for him to dribble and create space. Is that the tactic, give it to Gelhardt and hope he can take on two or three players on his own? It seemed like it. Knocking it long when we don’t have a traditional target man is just daft. We don’t have a striker like Morris or Adebayo at Luton to win the ball in the air and hold it up. That’s not Pedro’s strength, so why do it?
Think Sellés got it completely wrong today with his tactics (if you can call it that) and lineup but the players were just awful to a man.
Yep he did. He can’t do it again Monday
Jacob at least is a left back. McL needs taking out the firing line. It’s bad enough on the other side without him having a bad game tooPreston play a back three with wingbacks. We need someone with pace at left-back, Alzate in midfield and two up front. We cannot afford to be bullied, we need to fight for every loose ball and the players need to show some bravery in possession.
Post match, Egan says the lino gave it, so...Maybe, and I know the referee isn't going to change his mind but Coyle, as captain has every right to protest and demand that the referee consults his linesman, because it was NOT handball. It delays the kick, it puts doubt in the penalty takers mind and it puts serious doubt in the referees mind that he has made a huge mistake. Do you think any team/or captain in any other league would have accepted a decision like that so meekly in such an important game without a serious protest as we did this afternoon?
Brady your positivity and enthusiasm is to be applauded. BUT to quote you he has done an 'amazing job'.. FACT he hasn't. or we would now be talking summer signings. to quote you Alex Neil has done an amazing job... FACT he has.... Lampard took over with Coventry in 17th. he's done an amazing job. Robbins took over a Stoke side in free fall, he's done an amazing job getting them out of it. Rowett took over Oxford primed for relegation, promptly won about 5 games and has kept them going, he's done an amazing job. even QPR manager has done an amazing job. Time to wake up to the fact that Selles is not what you think he is im afraid., But its all a matter of opinion and even if he won the last 3 games I wouldn't change my mind. You must log in or register to see imageswhen selles joined you idiot
Very true but you cant deny he has got a lot wrong in the last 5 or 6 games.Every manager gets things wrong
Every single one
Some of this selles bashing is seriously pathetic though
Get a grip
I watched the game in a pub on my phone as they failed to find it for the big screen I missed the first couple of minutes ie the teams line up and i drank a few pints . but it wasn’t until I got home and discussed the game with my daughter that I became aware that Slater had even played !!!!!!Pandur - can't really judge
Coyle - ****e as per
Egan - hard done to
Hughes - piss poor today
Macca - has money on us going down
Slater - invisible yet again
Puerta - marginally less invisible
Palmer - barely got him on the ball
Pedro - barely got him on the ball
Gelhardt - effort, but wrong decision after wrong decision again
Lincoln - overhit and underhit everything
Kamara - poor decision making
Amrabat - added directness and at least seemed to put some fight in
Drameh - up and down but out of position
Burstow - who?
Crooks - hasn't even got 20 minutes in the tank, the useless, lazy, freeloading ****
Selles - yet again had to mass substitute to correct the starting line up. Yet again we concede after the restart. Yet again we play like a bunch of strangers. Yet again we seem to only try to compete with a few minutes to go. ****ing shocking all around to be honest. Said after Monday night that results are papering over cracks, but if anything we've been going steadily backwards for a solid month now. We're actually looking worse by the game.
Post-match reaction
Swansea caretaker head coach Alan Sheehan:
"I like winning. The feeling of a sell-out crowd, people are watching their team giving 100% in every action and isn't that what we all want from our teams?
"The game could have been done at half-time if we were more clinical but these are a difficult team to play against.
"We scored and tried to get the second and because we didn't, we had to defend for the last 15 minutes and our defensive structure as a team is incredibly pleasing."
On the penalty: "I didn't really see it now to be honest. I saw the players appeal for it. Either way I think we deserved to win the game."
Hull defender John Egan:
"It's hard to speak because it's so raw. They were on top first half and then obviously the penalty in the second half has decided the game. The ball has hit my face so I don't know how they've given the penalty.
"I don't think the ref gave it, I think the linesman gave it. I asked him to speak to the linesman because the ball hit my face so he can't be 100% sure. They didn't want to do that. It's a tough one to take.
"To lose a game in that manner is frustrating. It's a tough loss to take. We've three huge games left now, we've got to dust ourselves down and go again."
"Ron thought - we need to start games with the players we end the games with recently and then sub them with the the ones we start with when they're farked..."

So harass the linesman and delay the kick as long as possible, question the referee, how can the linesman see it when he cannot? create doubt, create confusion, all done to put pressure on the penalty taker and cause a delay. Its what most team do, except us.Post match, Egan says the lino gave it, so...
Don’t give him any more bright ideas, just in case!Acun, if you’re reading, have you been entertained yet?
A goal a game night be a good start....Selles was the only manager that joined a team at the bottom
But i suppose another manager would have us scoring 3 goals a game
Is that the international break when Acun offered Sellles a training camp in Turkey aka as a holiday and he decided to keep the players at Millhouse Woods Lane in Cottingham instead?Someone on Twitter said since the international break, Sellés has been like a Spanish Tony Pulis. That sums it up for me. Sit deep, create **** all and try to play for a point or a scruffy goal at best.
There’s a real lack of character with this group. It’s almost as bad as the McCann team that lost 8-0 to Wigan in terms of attitude. There’s a lot of moping, heads down, arms wide apart as if it’s not their fault but someone else’s.
