    Anyone following thehullboy on Twitter?

He's running from Lands End to John O'Groats for Mind mental health charity.

    Well done HB.

I saw that. I just don't get it.

Whatever pace he's running at is irrelevant.

    Marcus is a real inspiration.

His City blogs were fantastic last season. He's obviously been to some dark places and his running looks like it's been a real positive for him.

    Long may it continue.

I run 5km and my knee plays up.

Run 5km 5 days in a row and I get shin splints.

And I’m still young, and in good fitness even if I am a bit fat.

    This is an unbelievable achievement.

So he’s been running 20-25 miles every day for over a month?
    It’s a massive achievement

Most people can’t even walk the day after running a marathon

Well done to this lad because it is a remarkable achievement. On a similar theme does anyone remember Action Group chairman, Dave Dewberry doing a sponsored walk to raise funds for Hull City?
He, and I think a couple of others walked around the perimeter of the Boothferry Park pitch non stop for 24 hours, ending just before the kick off of a home game. I forget which game it was. The club were famously on the edge of bankrupcy at the time and although the Action Group was at odds with the clubs ownership it was Dave's idea to offer an olive branch by doing this sponsored walk. He completed it too, telling me the club didn't even offer him a cup of tea or any encouragement at all, even showing him to a door when he completed the walk, which led him outside so that he had to pay to get back in to watch the game.
It's the little things that you remember.
Wonder where he is these days?

I sit next to Marcus at City and you couldn't meet a more genuine lad. When he first mentioned this run to me last year I poo pooed it, stating all the reasons why he couldn't/shouldn’t consider it...my goodness, has he proved me wrong !
