I see the government is likely to nationalise BS.
Ironically this is what Reform want too. An unlikely partnership. Only the Tories want BS to sink or swim.
I’m not a great fan of nationalisation, but I think there are some industries that absolutely must NOT EVER be allowed to disappear, so I’m firmly in favour.
Nobody knows what lies around the political corner in today’s world - last year the US were our best friend (apparently) and now they’re hitting us with tariffs.
We need to make sure we have a reserve at all times. This goes beyond market capitalism. If the **** hits the fan we need to be able to produce steel, coal, oil and all raw materials.
Yes, it’s better if private owners make it work, but when it doesn’t that’s when the state has to step in.

I did post a comment on the cost involved for the "saving of it via the owners request" of an additional £500, 000 compare that to the cost of housing 31, 000 illegals they have let in in 9 months £1,726,000,000 and it pales into insingnifiicance ... . we borrow that amount of money to pay the hotel bills and the interest we pay is over £80,000,000 per annum
