How are Labour doing after their first 12 months

So the great man is considering freezing all tariffs for now, except on China.
Looks like the reality of his cunning plan is hitting home.

White House are dismissing it as fake news. Although I think there is a rebellion brewing with some Republicans....so maybe watch this space. Although Netty is on his way to the White House I think, so news will get distracted from the markets for a while if that is so.

Somebody mentioned it the other day, but this guy makes Liz Tuss look competent.

I've seen now that he's threatening China with an extra 50% to retaliate because they imposed the same 34% on the US

It could push some Chinese exports into the US up by 104% tariff ffs <laugh>

Total madness, and I can see Trump claiming it would be an act of war if China responded to that

He's that ****in unhinged.

Guy thinks he's in charge of the world.

Was reading an interesting article from an ex CEO which basically said that Trump is delusional if he thinks tariffs will prosper the US.
He used a 25% tariff as an example and said it would likely go in this direction,
  • Ask the supplier of goods to cover say 5% of the tariff costs.
  • Pass on as much as they could to the consumer, whilst trying to remain competitive. He suggested around 10%
  • Look for savings in the business to cover the rest. These savings would likely reduce CAPEX which means the necessary investment in infrastructure/expansion projects would go on the back burner.
He also said businesses don’t have spare money for these type of “knee jerk” investments and it would likely be a decade before any improvements were realised.
Way to go Donny!

Was reading some stuff from a cameraman I follow online, who's a big camera equipment buff etc. He was saying that the likes of Canon, Nikon and Sony who all make their stuff in China and Taiwan, will simply just wait 4 years for Trump to go.

He said there is no way they will be transferring production to the US as it would just not make economic sense. He reckons now is a good time to buy electronics for Americans as the prices are just going to go through the roof.

Predicting that a $500 Canon SLR will cost over $1000 in a couple of months and as supply falters and demand increases, along with the tariffs that could rise to $1500

second hand prices to rocket too as a result. And people will buy up stock en masse to try and flog it on for a profit later.

Go USA !

Reform are surging in polls across the entire country.

Welsh election polls have Reform becoming Wales second largest party, replacing Plaid Cymru in an upset result.

Scotland has them replacing the Tories, to become Scotland's third largest party.

Obviously they've been polling higher than the Tories nationwide since the election in all polls.

The SNP have changed their election to being an "anti-Reform" election.

For unionists, Reform are all but killing calls for independence in both countries as they are staunch unionists.

Is anyone actually arsed about local elections? Turnout will be about 8%, Farage will be out on the streets of ****shire proclaiming the dawn of a new era next to the bloke who has just won with twelve votes before it’s exposed he did time in 1996 for domestic violence, a few Palestine flags for the new councillor for Bradford promising world peace and to obliterate the Jews and probably Carla Denyer squeaking about the Greens winning a majority somewhere in Suffolk before getting back to her Travel and Tourism A Level coursework.

The death spasms of the Conservative Party will be fun to watch though, as they consistently poll lower than blokes dressed as dustbins

I see Keir Starmer and Rachel Reeves are promoting this new theme park this morning. Goodluck to them, but I'll believe it when I see it. They may have purchased the land, see picture below, but by the time all the environmentalists and bird watches have come out and put in their objections, the people funding it will likely give up...

If this goes well then the Gaza water park will have plenty of backers.

My mum’s got one. It hardly ever gets used, since she lost control of it in Marks, and got wedged between the cash desk and a rack of clothes.

remember seeing someone using a big one who was trying to do a U turn whilst inbetween to shelving units of glass and yes it didn't end well .
Used to amaze me the number of people using them who showed a total disregard for other peoples safety
