Drat drat & double drat. Hull 94 minute winner. Argyle win. Stoke penalty equaliser and well what odds were Oxford to beat the blades.

The only crumb of comfort was a win by them down west to halt Derby’s winning run.

After their defeat at Swansea yesterday, just looking at Derby's remaining 6 games - some crucial battles at the bottom there.

When we play PNE on Tuesday, they take on Burnley, albeit they're at home, but then apart from being away at West Brom who we've still got to play at home, their remaining games are against Portsmouth, Luton, Hull, with Stoke on the final day.

You could argue that after Burnely on Tuesday, that's a fairly easy run in, but I'm not so sure - all those games will be battles and could go either way. One thing's for sure, there's bound to be points dropped by some of our fellow strugglers along the way.

It's obviously up to us to sort out our own game, but we desperately don't need to go into the final game at Norwich needing a result to stay up - unless we're already down by then of course. <doh>

Just looking at the midweek fixtures.

Something has to give in Stoke v Luton.

Derby surely won’t beat Burnley even though at home - they’ve only lost TWO games all season. (Notwithstanding low placed teams can beat top 3 eg Oxford beat Sheff U today)

We’re obviously away at PNE but with us only getting only 5 wins in last 27 games it’s got to be a long shot to get a win. (Clingo will be upbeat about our chances NDAT:emoticon-0138-think)


Watford are unpredictable but I’d not be surprised to see Hull win there. Wouldn’t you?

On Wednesday on paper you’d expect Coventry to beat Pompey. Swansea host Argyle which could go either way and finally Oxford are home to QPR so expect them to win which would all but guarantee their game against them won’t be relevant.

Bums squeaking all over south east Wales. Does not look good from our perspective.

We need some players to stand up and be counted.

Where are Joe Dwyer, Graham Kavanagh, Aaron Gunnarsson and Sol Bamba when you need them. I see few warriors, if any, in our current squad.

I’m sure I read somewhere here we have a poor record at Deepdale.

Doing some research it’s actually not bad - 4 wins in last 5 games. I recall we lost when Alnwick was sent off and of course the 6-0 drubbing.

Ah yes the 6-0...a result that kept us in the Championship. Let's hope for a result that has the same outcome.

Could have been worse eh tonight? Lots of draws and no wins in our mini basement league. We’re just about hanging on after another disappointing performance.

Just noticed only Argyle have won less than us; a paltry 8 to our equally poor 9. They’ve a chance to get equal to us tomorrow though.
I wouldn’t be surprised if we stay in single figures all season. As it stands nobody can complain if we go down; consistently poor performances and management.

The results last night couldn't have been better for us - all three strugglers failed to take a point which begs a question. Is a draw a point gained or 2 points dropped?

Our stalemate at QPR and the equaliser at Preston would probably be seen as points gained on the road, but the Wendies equaliser at the CCS a couple of games back was definitely 2 points dropped from a winning postion - that mustn't happen again.

Failure to win games is keeping us anchored in the basement - a point a game really isn't enough. We've drawn 15 games so far, more than anyone in the danger zone and obviously dropped twice as many points as we've earned. We need some 3 point games to pull clear, draws won't be enough just hoping others around us lose.

A few weeks back we all said the target games were the 3 at home to Luton, Stoke and Oxford - well that's gone well so far! Stoke up next is a must win and 3 points to put them below us and us in control of our own destiny - anything less and we're back to relying on results like last night.

Agree with all of that Sparkey. Draws are definitely two points dropped while we're in the position of having to better the results of those immediately above us.

Is it me or does anyone else think that Riza hasn't grabbed the urgency of it all yet? Is he going to do what he does in individual games and wait until it's too late to change things.

If course, while I'm really disappointed with Riza, we will once again end up debating how crap our boardroom is.
