The fact of the matter is we are going to do the double over all the promoted teams.

Case closed.

If you don't play well and the other team does you'll get beat..

That's not even true - remember when we played Sheffield United at home under a year or so ago, we were lethargic and never got out of third gear, and they scored first. We still ended up thumping them 5-1 cos we were massively above them quality wise, and they were working their socks off.

Likewise Soton away this season - we didn't play well and they worked extremely hard, we still dozed our way to a 3-1 win.

Teams like these can't even beat other teams when the other teams play badly. Leicester are better than Soton this season (it's hard to be worse than them...), but are worse than Ipswitch. All 3 teams hugely below Premier league quality anyway.

West Ham are better than Leicester, that isn't a comparison.

It doesn't matter its still the same scenario. When will the lesson be learnt? There's no guarantee vs any PL side.

I think Newcastle will win, but I'm also aware that the margins are not huge in high level competition.

You brought up guarantees not me, i'm just very confident of a win.

Ironically that's just another reason you can lose even playing well.

To teams like Leicester, Soton and Ipswitch? Nah they lose playing well, teams don't play well and lose against them.

Example - Man U have been appalling this season and Soton went to Man U and played very well, leading 0-1 until almost the end. Man U were awful, but then Diallo got a hat trick to get them a 3-1 win.

And us v Soton in the first game, didn't play well, had 10 men for most of it and still won.

The promoted teams are premier league clubs in name only, they are all championship quality.

No, I'm saying it's football and sometimes the best team doesn't win.
