Maybe not. But either of them could have easily done what Hampton's done so far - which in turn could have allowed us to use the second overseas slot on a top/middle order batter.
But we're less than one game into the season. I'm by no means saying that Hampton was a poor signing (yet). It might yet turn out to be a solid signing.
