Don't bet on it ... we can't afford the pay-off ... and he's already started talking about the talented kids we have being part of pre-season ...

In fairness it sounds like he gets the club and the fans.

Get relegated and look toothless but polish the turd by talking about "da yoof". Ruud Van Fosselrooy

Given both the PL and EFL will be on our case for FFP / PSR, 'da yoof' will need to be the blueprint, at least in the short term - the good news (for us) is that we appear to have some excellent kids coming through ...

Reported that Leicester’s wage bill is 101% of its turnover. They need to start shifting big wage players, so youth is probably the only option they have.

True - on the wages ... and there will undoubtedly be some big earners leaving - but the youth isn't our only option ...

... and we won't be alone ... expect to see PSR / FFP impacts on the likes of Everton, Forest, Villa, Newcastle and Brighton, to name a few.

They could always get Ruud to reregister as a player lol

It just made me laugh that Fosse was getting all excited about da yoot again <laugh>

Always been a huge advocate of giving youth it's chance Ponks - admired what Ajax put in place - a youth conveyor belt model and 'total football' - hopefully the investment my club has made with Seagrave (the training ground and facilities) will pay dividends in the years to come - only time will tell - but I'm way more enthusiastic about that than the signing of journeymen on big wages ... and you only need to look at what Spain currently and indeed what United did in the past with Beckham, Giggs and Co and I grew up on tales of the Busby babes ...

Yeah I hear ya Fosse, but you ain't exactly Ajax total football level or Man Utd class of 92 either <laugh>

No we're not ... you can only aspire ...

... and also win a title race when you're in one ...

... you might want to pass that on to Artita...<laugh>

I admire your optimism Fosse. Staring at relegation and a fire sale and talking about recreating Ajax's total football <laugh>

Where have I heard 'we won't be selling the likes of .......' before ? :emoticon-0138-think

If they want out, then they're going, they've tasted PL football and if other clubs think they're good enough there's not much clubs can do about it.

I just remember the string of players that Fosse was adamant would never be sold, under no circumstances, and one by one they all got sold <laugh>

Mahrez, Demari Gray, Chilwell, Fofana, Maddison, Tielemans, Harvey Barnes, Dewsbury-Hall.... have I missed any ?

Like you say, once these players have played in the PL, very few are likely stick around and wait for Ruud to build the next version of Ajax's total football away on a Tuesday evening at Hull
