They'll never scrap the play offs because they generate too much money and entertainment but I wouldn't mind the format changing to what they do in Germany and have a 2 leg relegation/promotion play off match between 18th in the PL and 3rd in the Championship.
They used to do that. I remember 3rd from bottom Charlton beating 3rd from top Leeds to maintain their top league status.

Talking of Leeds, do we want them to get promoted or to play them next year?

Part of me wants them to stay as I feel they will be weaker, but if they do stay maybe it will inhibit some of our incomings as they are a ‘bigger’ club?

I'd like them to go up cos I've already been there and I think they'll have the best chance of surviving.

Yeah, shocking how he is still on the pitch. That was a potential leg breaker.
It's complete incompetence by the officials. Referee was in a great position to see it himself (possibly nerves as it is his first Merseyside derby) and then the VAR inexplicably failed to send him to the screen. It's just not good enough.

What? Was a clear foul. Sarr studded Caicedo in the leg.
But it took six minutes to make a decision. How can something be obvious if it takes six minutes?

The whole argument that VAR was sold in on was having a high bar for interference. There has clearly never been a high bar, and little effort to get to one
