I heard some stuff today about Trump reiterating that he wants to annexe Greenland, and the commentary was that Putin thinks he's being absolutely serious.
Which makes me think, why the **** is Putin commentating on this, unless him and Trump are chatting away with each other in private about each other's intentions ?
I am convinced now that Trump has abandoned the international rules based order and is going to mould himself in the same guise as Putin and Jinping and just try to grab as much land and resources for themselves as they can. With three superpowers, America, Russia and China calling the shots for the rest of the world.
Europe clearly don't feature in that US relationship anymore as it's clear the current administration just see us as an expensive annoyance

I said on here a week or two back, mainly referring to Ukraine, that Trump and Putin have discussed between themselves to divide it up. What I didn't say but thought, was there is a bigger picture to come with that, and Ukraine is only part of the bigger plans - all of which we can see playing out now. I just can't work out the end objective, unless they are trying to throw Europe under the bus, and that concerns me. As much as I've always thought the Americans are up their own arses, they've never concerned me as an ally, even if I haven't approved of loads of **** they've done....but now, this moment in time, I really don't trust them and it's a case of oh ****, we are not ready for this. What makes it worse is this **** JD Vance, because even IF Trump steps down in four years time without aggro again, we got another ****ing lunatic waiting to take over. The Democrats better up their game in the next Presidential Election and get these Republicans out.

Yeah I saw that yesterday, the reporter is Martha and for anyone that don't remember she use to be the SKY Sports journalist, always reporting on live England Football as an example. She got proper stuck in yesterday, and well done her for not backing down when that American bitch was trying to shout her down.

Vance is more dangerous than Trump (for Europe) imo. Trump just wants power and wants everyone to see him as strong. Vance is full of vinegar, has that bullied-kid syndrome and hates Europe for some reason. Hard to think of Trump being the stable one in any partnership, but wouldn't put it past Vance that he's egging on Trump to cause trouble and probably wouldn't mind a pointless war to show the world how strong he is and he's not a bullied kid any more.
I agree mate, I don't think the US can really be trusted to be an ally right now under this administration. And I think you're right, Trump and Putin have probably discussed a deal with Ukraine to carve it up for themselves, and they will try to strong arm Zelensky into a 'peace deal' that amounts to a surrender plan for them. The way Trump and Vance treated Zelensky at the white house shows you exactly how little regard they have for him.
The whole way the US and Trump are acting is that they are now seeking an expansionist route to gain as much territory as they can in a world where the US, Russia and China control the world and it's resources.
Just listening to JD Vance in Greenland now, and it's clear that the US will try and 'take' Greenland for themselves. Vance's narrartive 'if we don't Russia or China will' says it all. And his refusal to rule out military action there saying 'it's not necessary right now' is a thinly veiled threat that if an Independent Greenland didn't cede to the US, then they would take it by force.
Like you say, Trump will be gone in 4 years, but this **** is setting himself up to be around to carry on his work.

Exactly why I was saying the other day that I hope EU and India can step up as world powers to dilute US/Russia/China's control. As long as someone is a possible military and nuclear threat it might stop those three trying to carve the world between them.
