We could argue about Kane, but his release clause is £60 mil (or something like that) and he's over 30 and would probably demand a high wage.

FSG wouldn't sign him. No chance.

So he's a bit of a prat. If he was in that Newcastle team over Isak he'd have outscored him without a doubt. He is a goal machine.

Also I’ve never heard anyone in football say a bad word about him. He’s never come across in the media as any of that.

Hes captain of England and obviously has huge respect of the players and staff across multiple managers and tournaments.

Fans can think what they want about him being arrogant etc but he’s a quality player and I reckon every single player in the prem would say they’d love to have him in their team

BBC saying nothing signed yet but final stages of negotiations, sounds like a question of time.

The more recent statements by Salah and VVD didn't sound particularly promising that a deal was close.

I think most of us are resigned to the fact that he is joining Real. Some great memories, I am not sure how the Real fans will react if he does not click at the Bernabeu. It’s going to be a busy Summer

Badly if past examples are to go on.

I mean Bale literally won the CL for them and look how that ended just because he liked to play Golf.

Yeah, I don’t wish a bad ending to this on the lad, but most of our previous exports there did not end well. He could have achieved a lot more at Liverpool but he seems to have made his decision

Got mixed feelings, tbh. I grew up in Finch Lane, just across the other side of the golf course in West Derby by where Trent lived. To have another Scouser captain the club was going to be fantastic. That said, I don't think the club has covered itself in glory either. We have no idea yet what the club offered him, if any offer at all.

And if they have offered him nothing and knew he was going to Real, I don't understand why they didn't take the reported £20m on offer for him, unless that didn't exist. That said, with Bradley's injury record and Joe also out in January, maybe they thought we'd be fighting on three fronts and couldn't risk it. As it is, it could be quite possible he'll not kick a ball for us again with his own injury record. I do wonder how that last bit will go down at real, but good luck to him anyway. Hope he has the good grace to show his face on the victory parade in May (should we get one) when it goes past the Jolly Miller, a few hundred yards from where he grew up. Gutted as I am to see him go, I'll still wave him off. <applause>

I don't think either Trent or Bradley will be available for these last 9 games, so your wish may come true.:emoticon-0138-think

No reason Bradley won't be back.

But I am now of the option a left full needs to grow a pair and put his hand up to play rb for a few games

What exactly is he not going to achieve at Real that he would at Liverpool, if you exclude the FA cup and Carabao Cup?

Real will always be competing for the League La Liga Title, they’ll always be competing for the Champions League.

He’s already won all the important trophy’s with Liverpool.

When it’s announced he’s joined Real properly he’s yesterday’s chip paper, and you move on.

As I've said all along, I wish Trent nothing but good luck. He gave us some memorable years and he's entitled to go and seek new life experiences.

    A first team place?

I've a feeling ceballos might force him out of the side if he can stay fit.

In the end we did exactly what you've said with Owen and he had a disaster of a career after moving.

I can clearly remember the day Owen had a new contract announced over the tannoy at anfield and there was a massive cheer. 4 yesrs later he was trying his best to pull this and rafa sold him for a pittance.

Fans wanted him back and rafa imo was glad Newcastle bid over the top.

For all the ups and downs we have players get worshipped whipe they are at the club and sometimes get quite the shock when they leave.

Let's just move on to wild rumours.

    Bournemouth are the new Southampton.

Our so called technical director and scouts are so good they only know about players Richard Hughes had prior info on.

Huijsen and kerkez are top targets.

But I'm going to throw a wild card into this 100million pound transfer.

    Ben doak 25mil.
    Kelleher 20mil

We should easily try on some exchanges here to keep the costs down.

    Update

Lfc will also want Antoine Semenyo from bournemouth as well.

So because we have a technical director from there all their players are joining us.

Make or break summer for FSG imo.

If we lose all three, then thats the route they've taken us and I can see both sides of the argument for Salah and VvD, but at the same time they must be willing to spend and rebuild the squad.

There are 3 options for them this summer and all of them will signal their commitment to the future.
1: They spend big, get the squad back to a proper position, whether this be buying in or agreeing new contracts (or both). This would suggest they are still behind the club.
2: They do the bare minimum. 3 out 3 in sort of thing. This would be pathetic and suggest they are just waiting for a buyer, I would hope they get on with it and leave if this is the case.
3: They do nothing. They can **** off at this point.

At this point someone has to start listening to the conspiracy nuts about wages and where exactly the 400 odd million is going and on what.

If lfc are paying people like Edwards and are not able to pay players then that's fsg bodies working on fsg business not lfc business.

Unlike man utd this is not about 1million for loads of honest hard working staff.

This is about a spiralling wages bill while the playing talent drops in quality and quantity.

I fully expect to see a drop with slot and his crew in terms of wages that's significant. 10s of millions compared to klopp.

Players on vast wages left like thiago or matip and no contracts worth the same were awarded.

Lfc have held a line here with 3 first team players and have offered what seems to be less than before in 2 cases and similar to before in the other and nothing has happened since.

    Konate has refused an offer.

    Diaz has refused an offer.

That should now be alarm bells for the first team
