So he needed PL experience to have an excellent season for Bournemouth? Not sure I follow the logic there mate!!

There is no logic in this transfer. At all. We have so many players left sided (and bizarrely).

it’s the one area we don’t need anyone.

We now need world class players as every one of players are good.

I get what you’re saying. But some people won’t. I don’t know why.

It's fairly simple. Howe prefers players that have PL experience if possible. Hadn't you noticed? Lol

Huijsen at £18m when he had so much promise. Or Huijsen after one season for £50m where he has so much promise. Sorry man it makes no ****ing sense to me why our scouting is so ****e. How we haven’t found a gem or two when we’ve had huge financial restrictions is ****ing embarrassing.

Hush and allow me wind up Roland... The only person who could still be claiming our scouting is terrible after such a high success rate and squad strengthening that has resulted in a cup win.

Yes, yes, but what about Barnes, Kelly, Vlach and Ruddy?

Obviously there were 17 other PL clubs who didn't see that promise. He had only 14 top class games under his belt when Bournemouth took a punt on him so suspect that with our financial situation we weren't willing to take the risk. Do you not class Minteh as a gem? We bought him for ~£6mill and sold him for £30mill 1year later.

Agree with you though that it does appear that we need to up our scouting ability. I saw a listing of what PL clubs spend on scouting and Brighton was about 6X ours.

I guess massively enhancing our scouting will hit wages/costs that are included in the financial regs? If so, it's one we need to play carefully and won't be solved overnight. Otherwise we could just buy in a huge scouting network and all the latest technology to help player analysis etc.

No it’s not included in those regulations. It’s like training ground spend, or at least I thought it was.

I wasn’t being negative it’s just a bug bear that we’ve managed to get through 3 windows buying absolute clart (Osula might become good to be fair) that has had zero impact yet clubs like Brentford, Bournemouth are getting the likes of Semenyo, Huijsen, Kerkez, etc for absolute steals. This is 100% on Mitchell mind, so let’s see what happens this summer. I think Huijsen is great and would love the signing it’s just irritating we can’t make better use of our limited funds.

Oh, and on topic, rumour that we’re signing Moise Kean for £30m as backup to Isak.

Ah OK, I thought ALL club wages were included in the FFP regs. But if that's not that case, then we really should be seeing huge investment in the scouting system. Especially as Mitchell is all about finding young talent.

Well there's no reason for them not to really enhance the scouting set up then.
Should be very top of the list while financial rules hold us back from big signings.

Liverpool fans have replaced Arsenal as the delusional idiots who think they’re a shoe in for Isak. Laughed my floppy tits off at the amount of Nunez/Isak swap ideas.

The media are desperate for Newcastle to sell Isak. The fans I can't blame because they're all idiots anyway and they can't grasp the fact Newcastle aren't just here for a couple of seasons.
