Recruitment work has also been going on behind the scenes and sources have indicated this summer will be the most ambitious window Newcastle have embarked on since the early days after the Saudi led takeover.
I've read similar. Apparently targetting additions that will improve the starting 11 at GK, CB and RW, along with a strong backup option for Isak.

Whereas all I've seen are links to underwhelming signings and a Wolves flop
Other thanTrafford, who genuinely seems most likely for GK, all other rumours are probably just noise. Haven't heard any likely rumours about CBs - just Guehi again and Huijsen, who everyone will be after. RW - Mbeumo, Dibling and Bakayoko keeping getting mentioned, so it will probably be someone else entirely. Striker - who knows?

Add Trafford, Semenyo/Mbuemo, Guehi/Huijsen/Branthwaite and a back up am/striker and we should be confident in top 4 and cup runs for the foreseeable. We're talking £200m there though and whilst I can see us going big I don't see us going that big. So either we're looking at other players or we're seeking 2 of those positions for immediate first team options and then prospects for the others.

I have faith in them to take whatever moves they want, our recruitment has been far more hit than miss.

Another left sided CB? I know they let Kelly go but please sign a RCB first! - RCB and Huijsen - yes please but then we still need a GK and RW and probably another CF!

The order won't matter surely?

This player is the best young cb around imo.

Tbh I think he's been wasted playing guardiola ball. He's got more about him I think and I wouldn't object to him being here, but it would have to be a discount price.
He's lost some of his best playing years sitting at Man City. And he's on £300k per week. Never going to happen.
And he has calves like Smug's forearms.
