It’s actually six 3pm Saturday kick offs* this season at home, with one more yet to declare - still poor though.

We will have had either 32 or 33 of our league matches televised in the UK by the end of the season.

* Cardiff, Portsmouth, Blackburn, Leeds, Stoke and Norwich, maybe plus Derby

That many televised?
I remember we used to complain on here it was always the same teams on telly and not us.

Living a good 2 hours drive away (on a good day with no hold ups), and what the TV deal has done to fixtures I cannot see me continuing with our 2 passes next season.

Is it my age, the **** fayre served up this season, the way the game is changing or the ****ing crap matchday experience. What happened to that pre match excitement, the nervous edginess before kick off, rival supporters throwing sharpened pennies at us, bogs knee deep in piss, the stench of beer, the pushing and shoving to claim your spot on the terrace, the police escort for away supporters?

Ahh, rose tinted glasses and the good old days eh?

Maybe it's time to give up and watch on the telly? Old age is no fun.

Does the club get more money if it's on TV or is the TV money already decided and split between the clubs

Just posted in the relegation rivals: Every club gets a flat 2.3m from sky for the season, then for each game shown it's upto 100k to the home team dependent on timeslot, and a flat 10k to the away team

I guessed, as with most of my posts on here. :emoticon-0138-think

After grandson came in Ebeneezers and met you, Gary, Gav, Rico and others he said afterwards he didn’t realise oldies had such a good time, or drink so much. He thought we all sat round drinking halves. <laugh> After a few more sessions with him he is now aware of the realities. And as he said, realises there is a lot more to going to football than the actual match.
