Possibly.

There was little in the way of atmosphere there yesterday anyway, as there was obviously a lot of "first timers" in; the number of half-'n-half scarfs on show was through the roof!!

It did liven up a bit when that Sonny penalty went in though... <laugh>

I guess from 2-0 down with 25 minutes to go a 2-2 draw is a good result, but they still looked more likely win after the equaliser.

I wonder what the score might have been, had the 2 sides swapped goalkeepers?

A bit like when we were relegated, when it often seemed like it was Big Pat and Stevie P against 11. Now, it's Vic, Spence and Bergvall against the opposition.

5-1 Bournemouth. Not a chance that donkey saves those early shots Vicario did and I doubt Vic would've been braindead to do what Kepa done vs Son.

Though I've now probably jinxed the guy and he's gonna drop a clanger and then get sent off for a high boot on Parrott on Thursday.

That game really summed up the biggest issue with Ange: the players believe in him, and he is bloody good at convincing players that they want to join - but for as much of an asset he is off the pitch, he isn't when it comes to being on the pitch

He'd be ideal as a Peter Taylor for us, but that would require we hire a Brian Clough

Im not even sure the players believe in him to be honest, HBIC. It feels like it’s more a case of they like him as a bloke and a person, so aren’t intentionally throwing him under the bus. But at the same time, they are no longer sold on the football IMO, so we’ve got this bizarre balance of indifference where everything is just “meh”. Really strange position to be in, but explains why every game is just flat.

Did you see the video of Maddison talking to Son whilst on the bench and saying “it’s the same game plan every week”

How can professional footballers believe in a 'system' that's never going to work? The senior pros at the club know more about this league than Ange does.

Both Maddison and Son are being misused and asked to do stuff that they're always going to be ineffective at.

The whole thing is a ****ing nonsense. Many on here predicted it...and yet it continues.

The running of this football club is wholly incompetent.

As WindyCOYS points out, apparently Johnson forgot what the tactics are

After eighteen months of knowing his job when we're attacking down the left is to attack the back post, what does he do when Odobert is attacking down the left and Solanke is dragging defenders out of position? Attack the exact same space Bentancur is looking to move into in the centre of the box even though Bentancur is practically screaming for the ball there

I thought Johnson had a particularly shocking match yesterday. Still not fully fit? Seemed way off the pace...
He was dreadful: out of position, slow, uncommitted and completely ineffective. The only reason that he made it to HT was that even the manager had forgotten he was actually on the pitch!
'but he gets goals' is an argument, I know, but carrying him probably costs the side more.

I have a soft spot for Brenaldo but yeah he’s been woeful and needs to offer more.

Yep, a really likeable and down to earth bloke by all accounts.

One our sales blokes at our place who I speak to a lot plays goldf with his Dad. I'll ask him when I'm in for info, although he's been a bit cagey with info since Brenaldo joined!

no, I haven’t. <yikes> <laugh>
There’s no disputing it now though. No fan can watch what’s on display every week and say there’s improvement or potential under the same regime. It has to change. A different manager gets more out of those that have been under performing with a few tweaks to the system.
But I firmly believe we’re stuck with him until the end of the season. Levy will remember the backlash after he sacked a trophy winning manager a week before a cup final, so he’ll be reluctant to repeat that, especially if it also allows him to save money/compensation in the process.
I’m just hoping we can somehow fluke our way through a few half decent performances against weaker EL sides and make something of the season. It’s so frustrating, as this group would be clear favourites to win it now if we were under decent management. There’s loads of talent in that group, but the set up doesn’t work.
