Wasn't that a DOGSO and they decided it didn't meet the criteria? Edit : just seen that he had a red card against Wolves as well which is probably the one you mean.
Don't know what excuse they used but for me it was a tame backing-down. It was a cynical attempt to bring down a player with studs down his ankle, preventing a possible breakaway, so a red was correct - imo. To clarify, if the ref had given a yellow I’d have disagreed, but accepted it as being the ref's subjective opinion. His opinion was that it was a red, and that should have been accepted too as far as I'm concerned. In other words, stick with the on-field decision, unless it is unequivocally wrong. Gordon's was a red card, but don't be surprised if they come up with some mealy-mouthed excuse to downgrade it.
Liverpool are willing to let Alisson leave in the summer and make Kelleher number one. According to reports.
Get to the bookies now Gordon to score the winner He will get it overturned the week leading up to the final
We will see cunha given 5 matches and Gordon who was not as egregious but still sent off for violent conduct and clear violent conduct let off totally. They might half arse it and come up with a way to make it 1 match
Even dermot Gallagher expects he can't win an appeal but as we all know being really inconsistent about 2 incidents on the same week is right up their alley. Cunha continued it on in the tunnel after so there's clear grounds to absolutely hammer him. However I expect them to do nothing but talk about that one and quietly reduced thr Gordon ban down
They will find a way. There's no grounds for it and frankly I don't think he will make all thst much difference if we play well anyway but it's more of a general comment about the state of affairs
