The bloke is going to get so much abuse at the weekend, after his pathetic comments about us last season. And I'm going to miss it :(
 
i don't mind holloway his comments weren't that bad

You're right it was banter but he couldn't take it when a song was sang that gets sang everywhere and got all touchy about it! The man is a first class idiot,used to be funny but he got all caught up in his own importance when he was a manager in the premier league.
 
Kevin Phillips never slagged off Southampton, saints fans or the club.

He just said that he probably shouldn't have moved here because of his home life situations at the time. Which is him just being honest.

That was it. But of course, the dimwits and Sun/Mail readers immediately blow it out of all proportion, misquote him and MOCKRAGE!! takes over.

So him saying Southampton was a **** hole, and he never wanted to play for us. Plus saying he never really felt anything for the fans was made up?. Yes I know all papers chat **** most of the time, but they also print some truths.
Given that neither of us know Phillips in person, we will never really know what a kind of person he is. But I have a couple of mates who support sunderland,they say the same about his attitude.
 
Hard to figure out who's going to get booed the most Phillips, Holloway or Lua Lua!
 
I have never understood the Kevin Phillips hatred either. Walk up to an average Saints fan and ask them what he said about us, they won't have a clue.
 
Well on the basis that I never read or heard Phillips' comments at the time, I certainly wont be booing him. (If anything, I'll be sulking into my coffee that we didn't manage to hold onto him!)
 
Only thing I remember about Kev was that he was good, useful and popped up when most needed.

Any at the Saints v Liverpool game when he scored a screamer?
