Not ifs and buts, he's already threatening Republicans who don't go along with raising the debt ceiling because it's approaching at rapid pace already as the countries debt is skyrocketing. And I would gladly swap him for Starmer.
The long term effect of the Trump presidency will be the US losing it's pole position in Europe I think. I don't think US companies and leaders will find it as easy as they have done in the past to force through American interests. The fall in Tesla sales is a genuine thing and whilst Musk in his bipolar mania doesn't even realise it's happening I think Tesla Europe certainly do.
In some ways he's worse than Trump because you know it's not what he really believes, he's just doing it for power. Same with Lindsay Graham. I used to like Graham (heck I've voted for him as senator in the past)... he did a 180 from bashing Trump to supporting him, and we know why, it's for power- he sees more power supporting Trump than by being a centrist like he used to be. People who abandon their principles just to go after power are the worst, you know they would do anything for power no matter how wretched.
Have to admit, as soon as I saw Zelenskyy fold his arms, I'm like **** here we go. Got some respect the guy standing up for himself, hopefully Trump calms down and realises it's what he would expect of his own countrymen - the only problem being Trump's ego, and with JD Vance massaging it, I'm not holding out much hope.
Starmer tho please log in to view this image And I can't stand the little coke head thief but agree at least he stood his corner instead of gaslighting Trump like our pm did yday and to us everyday
They'll sign the mineral deal and I watched one of Zelenskys advisors saying the deal is actually fair enough. Ukraine also gains financially from the mineral sales, so they do think it's a fair enough trade. All Ukraine want is a guarantee that as soon as the news calms down Russia doesn't invade again. It's really not that unreasonable at all. I think the UKs idea of having European peacekeepers is the only reasonable compromise currently being offered. Ukraine is not NATO, but get's a buffer anyway in the form of a physical block. Both sides get what they want.

No one is sure in the media where Zelenskyy is being driven to, probably to his hotel room to smash it up, I just hope it aint got a balcony.
