It didn't do Freddie Mills any harm, oh... :emoticon-0138-think

A favourite of my dad’s. Amazing how often boxers in those days had fights, 3 weeks and then another one. My dad always thought there was something suspicious about his death as when his good friend singer Micheal Holiday killed himself he said suicide was wrong.

It's well suspected Mills' death was suspicious. I've resisted the temptation to say 'he took too many shots to the head's, oh ... :emoticon-0138-think

Doncaster's Josh Padley couldn't believe it when he got the call on Tuesday night after finishing his shift as an electrician. After Floyd Schofield fell ill, the scramble was on to find a late replacement to fight American Shakur Stevenson.

Can Padley realise an unlikely dream and become WBC lightweight champion?

Currently the 12th round of Ortiz Jr v Madrimov so 4 fights remain after. Buatsi v Smith well worth going back and watching at some stage.

Bakole looks terrifying but I remember his fight against Hunter a few years ago and he didn’t look all that. Almost threw the towel in until his corner convinced him to keep going. Parker’s a very good boxer on a technical level and I think he will outbox him unless Bakole manages to wobble him.

Fair play to him for stepping in at such short notice ( TBF he has nothing to lose and everything to gain ) but I reckon Parker will get a KO pretty easily.

Cant ever remember seeing Bakole fight. He sounds exciting though from what I’ve heard, if raw and untested. Quite looking forward to it. Parker is in fine form and potentially the best currently after Usyk.

Bakole has raw power and decent technique, though nothing special. He was outboxed by Hunter and I think Parker will outbox him too. As Howden says, fair play to him for taking the opportunity at short notice. Would’ve liked to see Dubois vs Parker though. Do we know what’s up with Dubois?
