Aye, instead we are getting yet another Fantastic 4 Reboot, a captain America movie without captain America in it, and Thunderbolts (dont even ask).
If they do the Doctor Doom story right, that'll be the biggie. Jonathan Majors getting in the **** has actually worked in favour for the MCU as it means they ditched the tedious Kang and multiverse storyline, and get the series on track with a killer villain like DD. Fantastic Four should be interesting if they manage not to **** up Galactus...ie turning him into a cloud like in the dogshit movie from 20 years ago.
Mandalorian I liked a lot, but Obi Wan and Book of Boba Fett put me off venturing any further. Everyone goes on about Andor and my mate like Skeleton Crew ....but whether I can actually be bothered with them is another matter. Just finished watching The Penguin series which was excellent and nicely adult and gritty, a big contrast to the standard production like MCU and SW stuff.
You should get high and watch the Acolyte, seriously, its the TV show equivalent of watching "The Room". Its so bad it is hilarious. **** casting, hilarious writing! The Diverse lesbian space witches are a thing to behold. Its like watching a West End production during Pride week. Its literally a lesbian space cult inducting two children into their tribe, I had to remind myself that this was supposed to be Star Wars and not footage from Epstein's Island.
If they get the second season of Andor right then that'll be a great binge watch with a good film at the end.
Rogue One is the only Disney Star Wars movie I can stand to watch. Force Awakens wasnt terrible, but when I know what comes after it, it renders it pointless to watch. From the Last Jedi onwards, Disney SW movies have been a dumpster fire. TLJ, Solo and Rise of Skywalker were pathetic.
Yeah, might roll a fat one tonight and watch it after your description lol. Although it's actually getting decent reviews weirdly enough.
dont listen to any media reviews for Star Wars, they know if they give a Disney property a **** review they will not get invited to any more pre screenings for early reviews, and apparently releasing an early review means more to them than releasing an honest review. Always review Audience scores when you want an opinion on a movie or TV show these days. Case in point, the Acolyte on Rotten tomatoes Reviewer score 79%, audience score 19% The reviewer score means **** all, thats just a bunch of media people wanting to stay in Disney's good graces, look at the reviews of people who actually watched the show/movie
Just saw this, didn't think Solo was as bad as ROS (horrendous) and TLJ (dull), but it's perhaps the reason everything went to ****. It bombing meant they didn't risk films anyone, and initiated the endless unrelenting deluge of new Star Wars TV series's.
Loved the first one ... ... always been interested in the Native American struggles - read just about everthing published about the tribes of the Great Plains ... so nirvana for me ...
Channel flicking and on 'Legend' tonight is The Way of the Gun. Great film, which I'd forgotten I'd ever seen tbh but is excellent. Benicio at his top form, James Caan, Juliette Lewis, the lot. Reminded me; a fine film that everyone should watch is A Simple Plan.
Half way through 1883 ... if you've not seen it ... see it ... best thing I've watched in a long time ... not just because of Sam Elliott... but cameos from the likes of Billy Bob and Hanks .... top stuff ...
