Flight Risk - 7.5 It’s been panned by critics and I can understand why but I actually enjoyed although for completely the wrong reasons. It’s labelled as a suspenseful thriller but there are some genuine ‘LOL’ moments. It’s so stupid (Wahlberg’s haircut says it all) you can’t help but really like it.
Very popular and I enjoyed season 1 but got bored and binned it off in season 2 but I appear to be in the minority.
Winnie The Pooh Blood & Honey 2 Actually not bad, much better than the terrible first one 6/10.....the messed up Peter Pan in the cinema next week.
Denzel Washington's sons are starting to be well worth a watch. Piano Lessons was really good, Black Klanssman was good, The Creator enjoyable.
Marvel has been pretty ****e since Endgame really, with the exception of the last Spiderman movie, which was pretty good. All them shows on Disney + like Wandavision, Hawkeye, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, She-Hulk, Loki, have all been absolute dog ****. Likewise all the movies, bar the Spiderman ones have been terrible, Eternals, The Marvels, Doctor Strange and the Madness of whatever, Antman Quantumania, Madame Web, Morbius.......MCU has really needs to die a death. They have lost their key players in Robert Downey Jr and Chris Evans as Iron Man and Cap and they are saturating the market with too much mediocre ****e and people are just getting sick of it.
Whereas it was solid until Endgame, it's been a mixed bag since then - ie Spiderman 3, Shang Chi, Deadpool and Wolverine, and Guardians Of The Galaxy 3 were all great, but Eternals, Ant Man 3, and Doctor Strange 2 were naff. Last Thor and Black Panther films were meh. I'm very up for the next Avengers movie though, as they finally get the chance to do Doctor Doom right. Madame Web and Morbius aren't MCU, they're were in Sony's Spiderman Universe (which ironically doesn't contain Spiderman), and ALL films in that series are dogshit, hence that series has already been cancelled. As for the MCU TV series.....urgh so many, just can't be bothered to watch them all. Dare Devil was excellent, as were Moon Knight and Jessica Jones....but apart from that way too much to keep pace with. A bit like the endless and ever growing number of Star Wars series on Disney+.
I watched the Netflix Marvel shows back in the day, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist, and then the Defenders. They were pretty decent. Theres too much saturation now, its the same with all those dumb ****ing Star Wars shows on Disney, they range from mediocre (Mandalorian, Andor) to pretty **** (Ashoka and Obi-Wan) to cataclysmically **** on every measureable level (Book of Boba Fett, The Acolyte). They really just need to stop.
You forgot the excellent Andor though that is due to finish with a second season and take the story up to Rogue One. I also though Ashoka was decent so far.
Andor for sure has been the best of them, also the first two seasons of Mandalorian were okay. Everything else though has been dog ****. They need to focus on quality instead of quantity.
I agree on Marvel, they have yet to come up with an interesting story that would follow on from Endgame. They should have done something with X-Men bringing that group in to the rest of the MCU and follow one of the big X-Men stories.
