I suppose when you are bankrolled by an oil state and can ignore any spending regulations, you can do this. I wonder where this is all going to go?

This season is the last season someone other than City can win the league until Newcastle challenge them in a few seasons' time. :emoticon-0138-think

ManU v Spurs. For all the chances created and absolute woeful defending, it is still 1-0. Which really sums both these teams up.

Irrespective of the result we are seeing two coaches who have to have everything their way to deliver any sort of result.

Spurs seem to have finally realised they actually have to try to defend but they have their keeper back, their long streak of thick cb back, the big useless lump they signed in there and of course maddison.

If they can gain some march fitness they'd improve from here but their cms are hapless.

Utd are a shambles with a team that's so so poor. Thry are going to have to firewall the lot and somehow cobble up a team

The fact casemiro and fernandes have not been absolutely destroyed by spurs says it all about spurs.

Zirkee. What possessed anyone to let tin hat buy that?

Holjund. Worse then nunez. Says it all. A lot worse tbh.

Appoint a manager to play 343 or whatever and then he can't manage it cos the players don't exist. No flexibility. No desire to fix it.

For how many years running Manchester United are not going to play Champions league football next season. Neither Glazers and someone will not be happy.

I can't see them being back in it for a couple years at least.

The very best side you can make out of these players still contains players who don't want to work for a team or players with no pace at the back.

I had a friend back in Primary school who was an Everton fan... But when Gary Linear went to Spurs, he became a Spurs fan. Then in '91/'92 when United started doing well he became a United fan. The Spurs thing was understandable, he was a massive Linekar fan, but the United thing was pure glory hunting.

I've no idea who he supports today, I haven't spoken to him in 20+ years, I lost contact with him a few years after moving to the US. But looking at the table today and seeing Spurs, Everton and United all doing terrible made me think of him. If he didn't jump ship on his original three teams... He's probably pissed off anytime he looks at the league table these days.
