While I agree with the minimum wage, what do you do to counter companies moving to Bangladesh, that it then sends your own textile businesses under. So while shouting for a minimum wage the same ****s then go and buy produce from what use to be considered third world countries?

Just reading how Elon, with his big size 10’s, went into the Energy department and sacked employees, who it now turns out managed the US nuclear weapons program, including safety and maintenance <doh>

I think that could come and it wouldn’t surprise me if Trump made the call.

I was thinking he'd be taken out before Trump, but you're are right, Trump will have to shut him up eventually. Elon's son has already dropped Trump a hint of what he thinks of him.

I saw the clip a couple of days after the event and couldn’t help thinking that he had only repeated what he’d heard from Elon <laugh>

Without doubt, a kid only repeats what it's heard. I can't even think why he's being allowed for him to parade his kid around on his shoulders, in the White House of all places...but as I've already been told on here....money $$$

That was my first reaction before I heard the kids comment. Trump and Musk have turned the Oval Office into a circus, which IMO doesn’t bode well for America.
I’ve been reading a little about oil prices. Trump wants OPEC to drop the price per barrel to around $45, but they are currently having none of it. Add that to the US oil producers who don’t want to increase production as they will lose money, it will completely screw Trumps economic plan.
IMO, I think Trump has underestimated the rest of the world, which has changed since the pandemic, the supply chain issues that came as part of it and Russia invading Ukraine. Most countries realised that they had to attempt to become more independent and self sufficient. I can’t see them wanting to give any of that up, especially as it hasn’t been pain free, just because Trump wants to screw his own country.
I know it’s only early days, but I don’t think Trump has long before Americans start to turn on him. Having “mid term” elections could be the final nail.

Do you even realise how ironic that joke is?

Elon Musk has become one of the richest men on the planet because he makes and sells ELECTRIC CARS, the Electric Cars that the the Climate Change protester want everyone to drive to save the Planet, none of them even thought about how you produce cheap electricity to power Electric Cars, maybe it grows on trees just like money

So to save the planet they help make him rich and powerful and now the worry is he might help destroy the planet he saved by making himself rich and powerful

Not many people stay loyal to Trump for long, and many of the ones that do get thrown under the bus. Will be interesting to see if Musk and Trump's friendship can survive four years and what Musk's fare will be at the end of this.

I genuinely think Trump has bitten off more than he can chew when it comes to Musk, who IMO will come out the winner once the inevitable fight begins. Musk has the wealth and temperament to destroy Trump. Trumps only hope is that the US judicial system, that he’s spent the last 4 years complaining about, comes to his rescue.
