We don’t really have any right to be in the EPL reading that. Massive season coming up to firstly see if we can indeed win promotion again & then a proper strategy to stay up.

Agree with this but I understand the boos. He was shocking and literally every single fan knew he wasn’t good enough for PL.
Yet here we are after 2 PL transfer windows starting with him as a DM, not even his actual more forward-thinking role. I feel sorry for him personally, but the club deserve the boos for allowing him to be in that position.

Yeah, im not saying he played well, but he doesn't deserve to be in that situation of having his own fans turn on him.
The ire and annoyance should be directed at the manager and the club, not the player. It was the same with Stephens; it's not these players faults that they're being picked when they may well not be up to it, and don't deserve the flak they get, particularly in the case of the 2 mentioned being our own, so to speak.
Yeah good posts and I agree. I personally would never boo a player like that, I don’t see what it achieves really.
Shame it’s got to this point. Once again, the owners need to take a long hard look in the mirror
Thanks, facts don’t help the current mood but certainly should be more publicised to try and wake up the management of the Club!!
I've given this some thought and I think Juric is no improvement on RM whatsoever. When he came in I believed, that given half a dozen games or so, he'd be able to get a marked upswing in results but yesterday again convinced me that in some ways we've gone backwards. If RM wasn't so stubborn and entirely focused upon his possession over all else philosophy he'd still be here, he just needed to be a bit more pragmatic about his playing out of the back style which gave silly goals away.
I'm hard pressed to see what style we're playing now? Doesn't seem to be much cohesion in the team, combined with strange line-ups and tactics.
( Smallbone certainly didn't deserve to be booed off the pitch, it's not his fault that at this level of Premier league football he's just not quite good enough, like I say often if you saw him playing for Sholing you'd think the kid was mustard! ) In yesterdays game there was a point Bree had the ball just outside the box and instead of whipping a cross into the big fella he just played a very conservative pass to KWP along the line that came to nothing. If we are going to play long ball football then for the love of God lets play long ball football! Juric seems to stuck somewhere in no mans land with his decisions and can't make his mind up, the midfield pairing of Aribo and Smallbone was totally ineffective for the first half.
Maybe he's just got an impossible job dealing with half arsed players, a squad so painfully thin on quality that that even some of great managers in the game would struggle to get a tune out of and a club run by buffoons. Please don't get me started on recruitment - ABK on the bench but never plays, loanees that we sign up but again never use, loanees that we bring in and halfway through the season we have to offload again because they are duds. Ross Stewart, ( Alcaraz proving he's half decent ) the list is endless and I'm afraid it's not going to improve anytime soon as it's likely we will sell anyone with a glimmer of quality, even as raw a someone like Dibling will be cashed in upon.
With SR at the helm we really are sailing into stormy seas where we sink without a trace...

I think we've looked better going forward but are just as bad defensively if not worse.
I see that Bednarek's latest error yesterday now means that only four players have made more errors leading to goals this season.
Three of those four players are goalkeepers, which isn't surprising. The only outfield player ahead of Bednarek is...THB.

Problem lies with defensive midfield. Or not having one.
Again, if it were the same SR team leading us into next season, I'd agree. But it's not, so there's hope.
I was going to say something similar, so even though we are still losing games we are having moments in games (80 minutes at Old Trafford) where we have looked like a football team that might score the odd goal and because of this I don’t think Juric is as bad as RM.
However, I don’t think he should be in charge once the season has ended because, like RM, his style is ideological rather than pragmatic.
I want a manager that will set us up for each game in a manner that is best suited to beat the team we are playing and not play “one size fits all” football. We got away with it last season but a lot of games could have gone against us if our opponents had capitalised on the errors we made at the back.
Meet the new boss, same as the old bossAgree with most of the above. My only difference would be around the 5/6 games for Juric to turn this squad around. On his (or any other appointee) I just felt RM had infiltrated ‘his boys/mates’ minds with stuff we’re still seeing in small doses. He also allowed really promising/impactful players to leave because, on reflection, he didn’t have a clue how to use/motivate them. His arm around the shoulder approach along with rambling incoherent post match comments was just adding to the players feeling ‘safe’ with him in charge, even though the results said otherwise. Yesterday’s lineup was baffling to put it mildly and tbf Juric took full responsibility for that. But now it’s a season to see who really wants to wear our shirt, offer proper resistance and take risks to score etc. One thing is certain, plenty to discuss as the summer break comes!!

You’re putting quite a bit of faith in the change LTL. I certainly hope you’re right & I suppose that’s all we can hang on to but I’m not convinced.
Glad others are starting to recognise this. Blaming Beddie is laughable. He made three or fours goal-saving tackles yesterday in the first 30 minutes.
Beddy and THB are not world beaters but should be a decent enough pairing. Bednarek is a polish international and THB has been capped and scored for England.
If we had any of Romeu, Schneiderlin, Wanyama or Cork in the side we would look much less fragile.
Yeah it's my biggest annoyance at the moment. Not having cover for Downes very nearly f*cked us last season. Of the 10 games in which he was injured, we lost 6, drew 2, and won 2. That's 8 points from a possible 30. In other words, relegation form. We luckily got away with it, but I can't fathom for a moment why the club therefore thought it would be okay going into a damn Premier League campaign, with one (barely) experienced Prem-level defensive midfielder. Absolute suicide. Our main priority should have been bringing a top-level enforcer for 30m+.
Our centre backs are definitely not the problem. We might as well blame Ramsdale.
(I underlined that one sentence because if that doesn't demonstrate my point, then I don't know what will).
