That’s weak bait mate… pretty sure you know that doubling wages of the other clubs hasn’t got us the players we currently have (as the other clubs are currently offering more than double what we can). There’s also a bit more on offer than just wages, as despite the ignorance, the club is clearly going places, even while being curtailed by illegal rules.
Can’t see us splurging Saudi wage cash ever, but allowing us to grow our revenues significantly will clearly allow us to improve, and we’re already much improved. If it allows us to offer comparable packages to the great institutions of English football, I think you’d be foolish to truly believe that we’d not make some kind of impact.

It'll take more time of course, and all this growing the revenue stream stuff is just what other clubs who aren't owner by oil states have already done.
Or, you could just ask Ern his story (he lived on Salford Quays for a bit, so this means he knows absolutely everything about United and all its financial history), and he'll tell you that when the Premier league was set up Sky Sports gave all the money to United and it wasn't fair on the rest, who got literally zero from the PL deal.

Can you remember the story about it? I'll remind you, at the time you were a **** club, with a **** ground that was half full, no money and no success.
Funnily enough, as they are the point of the conversation really, City didn't do this.
The actually were given a stadium, FoC. They actually were given all the money, and they went off and spent it, unabated.
They didn't build revenue streams, they invented them. Which is the point, and is what a large portion of the charges against them point to.
And they haven't been cleared of them. They will be, obviously, but they haven't, yet.
