Unsticking this thread guys - it's run it's course but it's obviously still here to post on if you wish. On to the summer window - will we be recruiting in the summer for a promotion push out of the Championship - or League One.
Recruitment will come down to who the manager is. Will we be building on the developments of this year, or heading in a totally different direction (AGAIN)? I know Riza has some limitations and makes mistakes. He could do with an old head to mentor him. However, the changes in personnel and playing style and the integration of some promising youngsters suggests he has a plan to modernise the way we play. I think I'd rather have continuity in the medium term. If Riza gets us safe, give him another year and continue the journey. That would shape our recruitment drive. There is a good foundation of a squad. Probably a 'keeper needed. A right back. A box to box midfielder and a wide man or two, assuming our loanees depart at the end of the year and some of the contracts aren't extended. I read an interesting snippet that Mannsverk could be with us beyond the end of the season. I'll see if I can dig out the link.
I agree with all of that but obviously staying in the Championship will also have a huge impact on recruitment. Would like to get that Alves chappy on a permanent basis.
Talking to a longstanding Leicester supporting mate, he's going nowhere. Very highly thought of at the King Power.
If he helps to keep us up, he'll have done his job this season. The problem for him he could be going back to just another Championship side for next season and that could be an issue for them. It looks like they'll need to cash in some chips because apparently the EFL is waiting for them to come back down with some historic FFP breaches.
Of more relevance going forward, an interesting article on a change in the club's transfer policy: https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport...kCopy&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=sharebar
