Without bothering to look it up I think I’m right in saying the Prem yoof teams don’t tend to do a lot in the LDV Vans Trophy. You can get away with it at home probably but away at a Championship team, even a **** one, is asking a lot of players who mostly play in meaningless games against other pampered kids.
Yeah, Liverpool have some very good young players - some with good experience - but it's asking a lot. When you look at the line-ups I'm not sure this even goes down as a big shock so far, they'll sub better players on and once they equalise it'll be an easy win. I thought we were treading a fine line by making 9 changes for our game against Birmingham yesterday, and we only scraped through in the end. We didn't play the kids though, if we had we'd definitely have lost. You asked about Osula the other week, I wasn't convinced that he was a footballer based on the snippets I saw in the first half of the season but his performances in the FA Cup suggest there's a decent player in there. If we buy a striker and send him on loan to the Championship next year I think he could have a good season.
I assume Valencia are still **** now Corberan is there but I don’t follow the Spanish prem. Keep an eye on my boys, Castellon, in the second division.
Yeah big difference playing fringe players like Elliott and Snapchat Quansah compared to someone who really should be playing for Tranmere but is on £10k a week for two more years so can’t be arsed.
BBC: Plymouth send on Muhamed Tijani and Malachi Boateng for Mustapha Bundu and captain Adam Randell. double burn for Sucky if Plymouth hold out
According to the Beeb Jota only completed one pass in the first half. I'm not watching the game so not sure the context of that stat but I can't imagine one where it isn't bad.
