It's often been said that Harry is tactically naive (although I don't necessarily believe that), so I thought I'd start a thread that will allow us to give the man a hand. Let's have your alternative formations. Here's mine, to kick things off. I'm going for a 5-4-1 formation, to take advantage of the LWB qualities of both Bale and Walker. We could go for the national anthem lineup: King-Friedel-Kaboul-Walker-Benny-Lennon-Parker-Modric-Bale-VDV-Ade You need to have an organised offside trap for it to and it can be a little one dimentional and it'll get you into all sorts of trouble in attacking corners but for simplicity it can't be out done. To be honest, I thought 'Arry was wrong to stick with two out and out wingers in Lennon and Bale which shows what I know. I think I'll leave the tactics to 'Arry.
If we played that, I'd definitely put Parker CDM and Lennon RM - Sandro has been excellent so far, but Lennon and Parker don't deserved to be dropped at all. We'd also lose the best of Modric and Bale being put out of position. 4-1-2-1-2 is a very effective formation if your best 11 players fit in the formation, but unfortunately for us, it doesn't.
I completely agree. However, some have accused Harry of being tactically naive, although I doubt that many will admit to it, now.
