We failed to reach the premiership when it was in the bag under Jenkins,,fact we finally got the backing we needed by MORGAN who overruled jinks...another fact. Prattley has already confirmed that he went to forest with jenkins with the intention of signing for £1 million. Fact this caused uproar and two financial backers walked out of the boardroom threatening to quit Morgan and the board stopped any deal going through...another fact. so scott you dont know what you are talking about and making up stories of what you think i said and what i actually said and everything has been proved true.... i have very good contacts who are ex colleagues of mine and i would not state a fact if its not true...

come on dam you know we was cruising and even the bookies stopped taking bets on us as we were dead certs martinez wanted to boost the squad like all our rivals were doing and we were points in front of them with only the toon ahead of us......promotion was in the bag but true to form skinflint refused and took away our dead cert status to end up being overtaken by blackpool on the final day who went on to win the playoffs.....its in the history books dam...
Just watched the Pool v Fulham first half. All I can say is If we play like we did against Blackburn we are going to be totally thrashed by Fulham.
Are you talking about the first season in the Championship under Martinez? When Swansea finished eighth and only got into the play-off spots once for about 24 hours? Or are you referring to Sousa's season in charge when Newcastle got promoted ? I think you're confused, Dai, better go check the history books. And getting into the play-offs does not mean promotion is in the bag.
