It has to be a concern that he's available again after less than 6 months into a 3 year contract at Cardiff in my opinion. I think it would be a waste of a wage personally. For the amount of time he would get on the pitch, I'd rather just use what we have - I'd rather find a way for Ba or Jewi to get back into the fold for the next couple of month than this tbh.
Willock is a good player, just needs the right manager around him to get the best out of him He is a big upgrade on Jewi and Ba imo I would 100% want better but he wouldn't be the worst back up to Mundle
He's obviously a player we liked in the summer. His move to Cardiff hasn't worked. Ba and Jewi haven't made an impact this season so far and they have been here and watched every day by the coaches. If we want him we have to trust the club, they have earned that
I’m feeling quite relaxed about that close of the window. We’ve got a good squad and I have trust in the club. If Watson does go I don’t want us to rush and waste the money. Ideally we get as quality a loan as we can for left wing for the remainder of the season. There is potential to really improve the team (Clarke/ Rowe) but they would be difficult deals. I don’t mind the sound of Danns either. We need a body but I don’t want us panic buying a centre forward.
I'm not suggesting he wouldn't be better as a back up, but it's a position I'd be wanting us to improve again in the summer even if we stay in this league. If we get promoted then he'd need to be moved on. It's unnecessary squad filler in my opinion.
I think people are looking at the boro signings wrong. They won’t be able to play tomorrow and it’s them trying to improve their squad they have Sheffield Utd away and Leeds at home to play they could end up being a factor
That's a huge statement from us. It also suggests that the rumours about him not being willing to sign a new contract are nonsense. I'm quite excited by this in a way, it shows how highly we rate him. We just need to get him on the pitch often enough now.
