I thought the last day of the new European Leagues was the most exciting it's been, after a very drab start of the new format - like the last day of the league season, everyone has a target to achieve. Well apart from Liverpool who had done their job well beforehand. Then next round, City v Madrid quite some tie. Good to see all the British clubs securing their places, but you have to be pretty **** to get knocked out.
It’s a drag but the old group stages were a drag. The whole thing is designed to have extra games and the revenue that brings and further reducing the chance of a moneyed club going out. The last games are better but then the last game of a group is often the best. My campaign to make it champions only in an unseeded knockout from round one continues.
Barcelona v Liverpool in the first round along with the champions of San Marino v the champions of Latvia. It’s the only chance we have to stop the wokes.
Got two academy lads training with the first team this week, one 15 and one 17 - would love see them on the bench tomorrow...
Worry not Munse, I'll keep you updated ... .. and at least it's footie ... not how many bench presses you've managed before your green tea mache Latte and your deep layer exfoliation....
Ipswich away today. One of our two winnable away games remaining but we'll probably lose. Hopefully we at least take the lead so I can sing "you're going down with Southampton". Going to watch the Azim fight on the way home so a cracking day of sport ahead. The latter is less likely to disappoint too
Hopefully. Today is close to a must win for us in terms of making 12 points imo. If we lose we'll have 6 points from 24 games and need another 6 from 14. Not going to happen.
