Another concerned 'Patriot' who thinks it's okay to attack the British police and mouth off about Muslims from his luxury pad in Dubai.

Food trucks arnt cheap anymore, they cost as much as a regular restaurant. But why people go to Taco Bell over a better Mexican restaurant.

    1) Laziness. Drive through. Instant food.
    2) Familiarity.
    3) Cheapness (it's cheaper than most Mexican places).
    4) it's not Mexican. There is very little Mexican about Taco Bell... It has Mexican food names, but there is zero authenticity about it... In fact, in Mexico they advertise themselves as American style food.

I would say 50% of Americans have the food pallet of a 6 year old. They like bland flavours, no spice, little flavouring besides fat, sugar and salt. There's a reason crappy burgers and fries are the staple here... And Taco Bell makes bland tacos for bland American pallets.

like him, speaks out at the right time for publicity. He uses Stansted as his hub Airport I believe. Not sure how a rise or cut in passenger duty will help either way…..but got to love his open comments.

I can't see this new runway happening in my lifetime, as Mike said, be lucky if it's even happening in 15 - 25 years time.

John McDonnell is against it (his area I think) along with Sadiq Khan, which I would certainly expect from the latter given his Green credentials regarding motorists.

I personally thought they were supposed to be doing something with Manston Airport, but like most other ocassions it's never happened or failed. So we have capacity at regional airports if you really want growth without all the planning applications hassle and something you can deliver quicker.

Although Manston is supposed to being opening as a cargo hub in 2027 but we will see....

    https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/tiny-uk-airport-closed-10-34147197

The process of planning, construction, recruitment and completing the airspace change project is expected to take three years. The airport is set to be operational by 2027. Initially, Manston will operate solely as a cargo hub, but there are whispers that passenger flights could be introduced from 2028.

According to The Mirror, if the cargo side of the airport proves successful, passenger routes to countries such as the Netherlands, Spain, Cyprus and Malta could be established. It's reported that the airport's owners are in discussions with budget airlines like Ryanair and easyJet.

In the long term, plans over a 15-year period include having up to four passenger stands and 19 freight stands. RSP has stated that the project will create around 650 new jobs during the construction phase and 2,000 permanent jobs once it is fully operational.

Their website further stated: "The project requires no Government funding and has attracted several international investors who are prepared to invest £800m in this deprived part of the count

I’d have probably done it at Gatwick but then the **** do I know? Two runways for our main airport is a load of bollocks. Istanbul has six. Ooooh think of the local wildlife. Ooooh the noise in my village. Grow up.

Well I haven't looked into it, but I know Sadiq Khan is one of the biggest ****s ever to have lived, so if he is against it, its probably the right thing to do.

Thoughts on the Labour Party funding the redevelopment of Old Trafford and the surrounding area for their billionaire owner?

I think they are putting funding into developing the area, but I didn't think they are providing any money for the stadium redevelopment ?

'While United would oversee the stadium development, support from government would be needed in areas including enhanced transport infrastructure and residential development would be required.'

That's how I understood it when I was listening on the radio. Utd will pay for the stadium, but the Govt will invest in the surrounding area. I think their take is that it will create jobs, improve transport and provide housing etc. The levelling up, that the Tories never did <whistle>

Utd are still getting a good deal though, as when we built the Emirates, Arsenal had to pay for improved tube and transport links in and around the stadium.
