I spent most of the second half last night watching someone in the front row of the east stand vomit repeatedly into a bucket between his legs.

Grim, but couldn’t turn away from it. Resolutely stayed in his seat, people everywhere around him, persistent convulsion spewing. People just left him to it. Pleased to say I was in the south stand.

He must have got the same katsu/madri ‘deal’ I got.

Along with the match, created a truly harrowing atmosphere.

Possibly a gimik and just an idea that I'm not sure i like and it's my idea...

Have small groups 5 to 10 people together with different groups scattered round the ground (probably just east and north) that are paid (this could be hard cash, free/discount ticket, free food/drind) to sing consistently through the game and even coordinate the groups to sing the same songs.

The thought is that the majority only join in and never start a song and by the time they do join in the rest are stopping

updated home form table

how shocking is this?
our home form is going to have to change big time for us to stay up

Maybe we should wear our away kit, kick toward the South Stand first half stand and have the North Stand massive move to where the away support usually is... worth a try!!!

Realistically you have to go back to Marco Silva to have any sort of exciting home form that we’ve been able to see - that’s 8 years ago now.

The slow fall through the Championship under the Allams and a promotion behind closed doors has not helped but realistically consistent exciting football hasn’t been on show at the MKM for too long. That needs to come alongside a look at how to get the fans engaged. Anything else is just a sticking plaster.

Good to see you’re still around.

Jeeeees. If only we had stayed up that season...

Are we seriously looking at safe-standing or is it never going to happen
because we don't own the stadium ?

Split the away fans up. Half in E1 and half in the south<laugh>
Not a bad idea actually, if only practicalities allowed. Sure I've seen it somewhere in Europe, PSG maybe, where you have two lots of away fans at completely opposite ends of the stadium.

Three sides for 'some' Tyneside games. :emoticon-0138-think

For one to be more exact. If we took the same percentage of the home crowd away as we did then we would be taking about 18,000 to away games.

1) Play away from home
2) Play behind closed doors
3) Go back in time to the East Stand E1 onwards, flowing with natural, not constructed support
