That’s a brilliant interview from Elliott. Only 21 but the kid is very mature and head is screwed on.

I’d be silly if I went and knocked on managers door. Teams flying, top of the league, top of CL. Was out injured for 3 months at start of the season. Need to just be patient and take the minutes as they come.

Very special kid

Right now bayern can take villa's top 8 spot.

When you look at that top 8 with bayern and then look at the clubs from 8 down there's nobody bar real madrid and city thst would worry lfc.

So the reward for playing well is a probable decent draw to the qf stage where upon we may well have a tie against a club who is 7th or 8th depending how they do.

We will know the possible route all thr way to the final.

I don’t think anyone doubts his talent, he is very good around goal and I think, Jota apart, he is most likely of our forwards to create and finish well. Nunez and Salah are great but miss a lot of chances. Gakpo is good but inconsistent and Diaz

Topping the CL league stage will see us gain maximum prize money of around £16m (based on 8 wins). Added to the £15.3m (that every club got for qualifying) £8m if we get top and a further £9m for qualifying for Last 16..That's a very healthy return for what we've accomplished so far.

Suppose that's a positive of Barca scoring a last minute winner last night; the last fixture isn't a dead rubber so more chance of a another victory.

Thought it was £1.8m per win though (£14.4m for eight wins rather than £16m)

Don't forget the money for seeding as well so the base for us is higher than for say villa

Do you mean the value pillar which is to do with the TV rights distribution ?

My understanding is this

First there is a base fee that everyone gets equally. This is about 18.63million euro based on equal share

Second there is a value based fee that is paid based on the position in the super league table and the clubs own coefficent and the country coefficent. This is 853mil split in to a share scheme where there are 666 (spooky) points to give each club.

It is here that villa would be paid less than us for finishing in the same position and a club from say Holland would be paid less even if seeded 1 as well.

Then finally there is the prize money on top. This is where the wins give us even more cash. And going on deeper than the league passes wins money each round.

We have won 11mil euro for last 16 and 14.7mil for 7 wins so far.

So right now I make it
18.63
14.7
11
Plus some number thats very very nice for the merit money

Probably going to be well north of 80 mil by tjr end and prob more than 100mil

The european super league is here. People just don't realise it yet.

Those in it have the coefficent to make coin and make it hard for others to enter it.

But rank decision making like we see at utd can at least give others hope to force their way in.

All we need now is the next expansion so more English clubs fit into it

There is a base country

You're probably right. Maths isn't my strong point. :)
