Just read on Twitter that it's £700m. But that's yet to be confirmed. Our wages/earning ratio is in the middle of the league and the lowest of the Top Six bar City, which is a joke.
It physically can't be 700mil with europa league football only. It's was 594 without anfield road end (20mil or so) but with cl footbalm.
As we get closer to the summer I think VvD is the only one that will sign in the end. Trent looks gone imo, head turned, but he's got no rush cause he knows Real will still want him come July. Salah if the reports of the wage he wants are true, then I'm ok with him going, £400k is too much, with no guarantee his age wont catch up with him. Virgil seems to have no other options than us. Hasn't been linked with anyone else, doesn't seem to have any suitors.
We had better win the prem this season because our rivals are all planning to spend on players and we could lose two or three of our best players for next season. The way the contract situation has been handled is dreadful. City apparently are planning on signing four players this window, either they are expecting a transfer ban or more likely getting away with a fine only
Look this is probably the last chance to win the title for 5 to 10 years. The premier league has failed in its psr enforcement by talking big but then watering down deductions and the watering down again. Everton 10 points - absolute panic sets in Everton points halved. Everton second deduction absolutely nothing for same offense Forest then given a miserly 2 points which is in effect a draw not a win. City likely to get nothing but a fine. Cheslea being allowed to fake sell assets left and right to avoid the rule. A free for all is bound to come about now. Fsg simply won't spend to keep up and 4th will do (but there's 8 clubs for 4th) I genuinely don't think fsg think winning in either baseball or football is needed at all as long as the money keeps coming in.
I don't pay attention to basketball... but I've never even heard of the Boston Celtics and I live in the US. Are they really worth 6 billion? I honestly, don't know.
Yes. They're one of the NBA traditional big boys. Dominant in the 60s-80s, have the most Championships. But had fallen behind since newer teams arrived and the Lakers went full Hollywood. They are the current NBA champions, which would suggest they are on their way back. I suppose if you were to compare to a football team, they would be the Liverpool of the NBA
The only thing I know about them is that Larry Bird used to play for them and that's because of the NBA games on the SNES.
I've never paid the slightest attention to American sports so I've no idea who they are. Must be someone I suppose if they're costing $6bn.
they can do what they like with thier cash. if they are borrowing on the LFC asset though then thats different
be good to get him signed Konate confirms Liverpool contract offer Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate: "Who talked about that a few months ago? The club didn't say anything, I didn't say anything - one person said that. "After, I spoke with the club. I'm really focused on what's happening now and we will see what will happen." Have you been offered a deal? "Yes." Are you close to signing? "This is another conversation!"
In all seriousness, if they are investing in the Celtics, there’s a half decent chance that they will divest elsewhere. Will be interesting to see how it all pans out.
