I suspect come season end, Ipswich will hold out for £50 million for Delap. Theyve spent a lot of money though... I think their spend without loans is £148 million... and thats before the window closes...
Southampton really shows the gulf in quality between the Premier League and the Championship.
The amount of errors they’ve made playing out from the back this season is absurd because they simply don’t have the centre-backs for it. Bednarek and Stephens are terrible at it, for example. They got away with it for the most part last season as most teams didn’t press them as intensely which allowed their centre-backs to take extra touches.
Ipswich are struggling tonight for the same reason but I’d say they’re a bit more dynamic in their build-up than Southampton so they’re not as calamitous as often.
John Beck, aka twat.Long ball is the way forward. Just hit it into the opposition corners and take it from there.
Who was the Cambridge manager (no longer with us), that beat city playing lije that. Think he made sue three was no hot water in the away dressing room too.
league one and championship spend was massive tooipswichs spend since going up is actually insane
feels like they bought about 10 players all costing 15m
Was he the Lincoln manager who spiked their pitch so we couldn’t pass the ball effectively and they beat us about 2-0 . The 5 yd passes in the warm up bounced 4 times between players !!!John Beck, aka twat.

Could they be in financial trouble next season after they get relegated, players leave and they remain in the championship, seems like one hell of a gamble they have taken.ipswichs spend since going up is actually insane

That's him and yes he was. Steve Claridge tells a story how he subbed him off after 15 or 20 minutes because he passed to a team mate rather than knock it upfield towards the corner flag.
That's him, he also had the grass cut to different lengths on areas of the pitch. Perhaps our groundsmen think he was ahead of his time?!Was he the Lincoln manager who spiked their pitch so we couldn’t pass the ball effectively and they beat us about 2-0 . Think they sacked him not too long after I’m not sure he went to Stoke and then they bombed him out for his methods !!That's him, he also had the grass cut to different lengths on areas of the pitch. Perhaps our groundsmen think he was ahead of his time?!

`Probably Pullis...Talking of Stoke, the book the numbers game mentioned Stoke and their tactic of kicking for touch and how little of the 90 minutes actually was spent playing football. Can't remember which of their managers it was at that time.
How are Luton doing with their windfall?
Wolves next 5...Chelsea A... Arsenal H.. Villa H... Liverpool A.. Bournemouth A... oooops..Despite this result I'd still be reasonably confident Ipswich can stay up, if only because Wolves are so poor.
Shows how little he knows of Man Utd's history! Several of us on here know much better, having seen them in Div 2.In [the past] 10 games in Premier League, we won two," said Amorim. "Imagine what this is for a fan of Manchester United. Imagine what this is for me.
"We are getting a new coach who is losing more than the last coach. I have full knowledge of that.
"We are the worst team maybe in the history of Manchester United. I know you [media] want headlines but I am saying that because we have to acknowledge that and to change that. Here you go: your headlines."
Former Everton midfielder Leon Osman told BBC Match of the Day: "It was a really bold statement from Ruben Amorim. Their starting XI cost £391m, their five summer signings cost £182m.
