Match Day Thread General matchday thread.

We were below par last night but Wolves looked good to be honest, 3-0 absolutely flattered us. We've had a few games recently where it felt like we had the game won early on and then just sat back and let the other team play but Wolves felt a threat throughout. I've seen them a few times and I'm kind of shocked they are where they are in the league, they are the only team in of those you mentioned who i could see winning back-to-back games and suddenly pulling themselves out of the mess.

Think Leicester and Southampton are down and it's one of Ipswich and Everton. Suspect it'll be Ipswich.
Not convinced, mate. Ipswich were handed an incredibly tough start and since then have slowly been improving game by game. They’re spending again in this transfer window and I feel they’re the best of the sides down there. I can see them pulling clear at some point.

I don’t even have an inkling who might go down out of the other 3. A case can be made for all of them going down or staying up. There’s rumours that Moyes is going to be handed good money to sign a striker (which they desperately need) so I suppose we’ll have a better idea on the 4th Feb.

Would like McKenna to keep them up and keep building there but I reckon he’s moving on next season regardless as will Delap.

Everton v Ipswich in May looks big already. Both have an ok last few games after that. You can just see Moyes grinding out points while Ipswich have a go and fall short like Luton. Ipswich are better than Luton were though.

Will be very little business done by Moyes.

Maybe a loan? broja heading back to Chelsea as he is crocked and Beto/DCL being kept.

On the plus side, we actually had shots on target/created more than we have in the last 10 games. The difference being Watkins.

we will focus on set plays for goals, delivery already improved over this seasons ****e tossed in corners/FK.

We'll see Ponks ... did well enough at PSV ... and you rate Kai Havertz, so you'll understand my reluctance to accept your footballing expertise at face value ... especially given Arsenal fan's historic fondness for RvN in his playing days at United <laugh>

Well, yes he's a **** to boot.

And Havertz has more goals than Vardy or any other Lesta player

But to reiterate the point, Ruud is out of his depth. Lesta panicked and sacked Cooper, but you're in a worse position now with Ruud at the wheel.

**** that. Get to the game if you can, no matter how **** it may be.

being at the game is 100 x better than being at home.

Never in a million years was I going to travel to Manchester on a Thursday night in January.

First away I've missed since October and doing next 3 too so not arsed about missing it

Found United away quite underwhelming. We had the upper tier behind the goal once and in the corner once. Didn’t help we lost both probably. Same for Anfield. Goodison was the bollocks but then we won 1-0 with about 3% of the ball.

I quite liked it when I went. Helped it was a really good game and a surprisingly decent atmosphere.

We lost obviously but we did score two cracking goals.

It would nice to see Southampton get something Tonight, but as crap as Manchester United are I think it's fanciful to think it could happen.

Man Utd have always had a raw deal about their atmosphere. The away fans are up there with the best and loudest in the country, for me. I’ve always found their home atmosphere is better than most in the premier league as well.

Yeah there's absolutely no chance mate. Think a lot of people still don't realise just how terrible we are this season tbh.

Even if the stars aligned of us playing a blinder, and them doing their usual struggle for motivation against a poor side after better performances against top sides, we'd still lose by a couple of goals.

Yeah I've always said they have the best away support in the country along with Leeds. Though weirdly they're the two teams I've seen us play against at Wembley and both were awful there.

Old Trafford was definitely a good atmosphere when I went but a lot is down to timing I guess as it was a couple of games after Ole got at the wheel and they were buzzing.

Definitely was better than of the other 50k+ grounds I've been too though, albeit only Newcastle and Arsenal I've visited more than once.

Dibling might cause a few problems I suppose.

You shouldn't be surprised, it's never quiet or dead, regardless of what people on social media who've never been near, or Ern, might like to lie to you.

It's still a great ground to watch football in, it's the concourse and lack of services that are ****e.

And it's always full. Ratcliffe might see to that, but we'll see.
