The only sides that can live with this 11 are Liverpool, Arsenal and erm that's about it. They have both failed to beat Newcastle so far. The introduction of Tonali and Dubs has changed everything going forward and back.

I wasn't sure if all the hype around Tonali was justified, but he is without doubt one of the best players in the league.... Newcastle have about 8 or 9 players that fall into the same category and Miley is already an elite player.

There is absolutely nothing, but injuries that can halt the climb up the Premier league table and into the higher echelons of world football over the coming seasons.

I know a good team when I see one.

If it stays injury free anything is possible

Agree, if our first XI plus players close to the starting XI (like Willock) can stay fit we could do something special this year.

Could be:
  • Three points off second tonight and three points clear of 5th in the league if we win
  • One foot in the League Cup final with the home leg to play and a 2-0 lead to defend
  • 3 games away from another final (if we beat Birmingham in the FA Cup) with roughly a 1 in 5 chance of drawing a championship or below team in the next round and that doesn't count teams like Ipswich, Southampton, Wolves, Fulham or Palace losing their ties to lower league and then Bournemouth/Everton, Man U/ Leicester and Brighton/Chelsea taking each other out of the comp.

They are also able to switch it on when required and then shut up shop which makes them a very difficult nut to crack.

Wolves like to have a go, so I'm fairly confident they'll be the next fools to come and take a whooping.
