no chance! who in our team is he better than? he doesn't fit the lambert mould in any way, shape or form. i think his agent may be trying to get him a deal anywhere other than ipswich... hardly surprising i suppose!

His agent must live in cloud cuckoo land! Why exactly does he assume his 'client' can go from the lower reaches of the Championship to the upper-ish echelons of the Prem <yikes>

(Wellyblue, I did qualify it with an "ish" before I get pilloried :emoticon-0105-wink:)

thats what agents do cromer! they make up a few rumours of their client being targeted by a few mid-table premier league clubs to try and raise interest and start a bidding war (on wages). i'll be honest, i think there is more chance of andrews joining than jimmy cripple bullard did last summer but there was 0% chance of that one happening! 1% chance for this one... <laugh>

end of the day, he is nowhere near good enough to play for us.

But he's good enough to play for the Rep of Ireland team that has qualified for the Euro's next year! Hmm interesting...

come on warky, even you'll admit thats he's pretty crap! just cos he plays for ireland makes no difference. he isn't good enough for blackburn, many ipswich fans moan about him - ok he scores a few but his all round game is pants. is he better than david norris would you say? championship player at best

Supers to hear you talk sometimes anyone would think that you are a top 6 premiership team. He played an integral role in the European qualifiers and given the chance to play with better players around him, he could walk into most run of the mill premiership teams, which is what you are and nothing more. Im not being deliberatley provocative in saying that.

I have to say that whenever I've seen Andrews this season, the Peterborough game aside, he's always looked quite impressive, Lambert did scout at Portman Road didn't he, although wasn't he supposed to be looking at a player from a team even lower than 1p5wich?

you can think what you like warky but i've never ever seen him have a really good game, not even for ireland. he's got a good shot on him but then so have i! doesn't make me a good player and it doesn't make him one either. we aren't even a run-of-the-mill premier league team - you could label stoke that, maybe even everton or villa but not us. we are in our first season so not one norwich fan has ideas above their station. what i can identify is a good player and he isn't any better than what we have already so why would we try and sign him? he is incredibly average which is why, and please don't take offence, he is plying his trade at ipswich at the moment. i did hear wolves could be tracking him - if they do, it will be as back up, same as it would be if we went for him

also warky, international football is not a good gauge on a players capabilities anymore. check out some of the dross players that get call ups and play international football around europe and you'll see what i mean. kevin kilbane still plays for goodness sake!

Now then, international call ups are clearly a mark of quality: No one could say that Carlton Palmer was not a world class central midfielder, who could turn on a sixpence and hit raking 60 yard passes, with timed to perfection challenges.!!!!

I personally think he's a decent player myself, and no where near as bad as some people are making him out. That said i wouldn't want us to make a move for him though, we can do better in my opinion (Frimpong for starters) and anyway he's damaged goods now so thanks, but no thanks.

Judging by the number of responses to some idle gossip, he's poised to usurp
Shola Ameobi's crown any time soon <ok> Anyone seen him in poundland yet?
