Accrington done well up to that point really. Will be 4-5 now.

Felt like the midfielder could have stopped that pass into channel but might have been the camera angle.

He can’t sign a contract until he’s 17. Up until he’s that age another club can just come and take him away and there’s nothing you can do to stop it.

It’s good he’s respecting the competition. Disappointing for us and surprising with such a big game midweek but it’s what I’d do in his situation. Any win is important when you’re on the run you’re on. Bit gutted we haven’t gone for it but if it goes as expected I made the right call not spunking £100+ on it.

Indeed - and should clarify that I meant uncapped ... Stolarcyk who starts in goal and Choudhry, Thomas and McAteer (subs) all came through the academy ...
