Spitting at an opponent allegedly which could carry a 6 game ban. I don’t remember anything about this form the game?
Nothing at all. I can't remember any protest by Sunderland players. Here's what JHT said after the QPR game:

"Sainz played the full 90 minutes on Sunday but Thorup confirmed afterwards the FA have contacted the club but are yet to charge the winger after a spicy defeat on Wearside. The Dane was unable to confirm the incident is of a spitting nature, which if the FA decide to charge Sainz could potentially lead to a six-game ban."

"It came to our attention that something happened, and probably there's an incident in the game, and we're still waiting for some evidence and exactly what it is. And of course, when we get to know that, then we find out how to deal with the situation. There's no charge at the moment, and there's, of course, also the reason why he's playing, and I also expect that he'll be ready for the team again on Wednesday (Luton away), but we never know when we have to wait and see if there will come a charge. We can probably expect something within the next couple of days. I will go and ask Borja about the situation. The focus was about the game and getting a result here. This just came to my attention in the last day or two. I was not going to do anything about it because on a game day we are concerned about that. It is difficult to see if there will come a charge, or if there will be a charge, they can deal with it before the Luton game. I find it hard to believe that that will be the case. But again, we have to wait and see what it is. There's a lot of ifs at the moment, and we need to find out, but we'll probably know more tomorrow."

The Football Association have released the following statement in relation to Borja Sainz:

Norwich City’s Borja Sainz has been charged with a breach of FA Rule E1.1 following their EFL Championship match against Sunderland on Saturday, December 21, 2024.

It is alleged that the forward committed the sending off offence of spitting at an opponent during the 74th minute.

Borja Sainz has until Tuesday, January 7, 2025, to provide a response.

Another suspension coming up

Are the Norwich players doing lots of things or are they being targeted by the FA or a bit of both?

Weaknesses are probed by opposition staff and players, not the FA. The latter simply apply the rules when the probing works.

I'm wondering when we might hear any further news on Borja? He had until 2 days ago to respond to the FA charge.
I suppose it's possible he has accepted it, maybe with mitigation, and is awaiting punishment?
Or he's asked for a personal hearing?
I guess any outcome will be made known to the club half an hour before an important match!!

PinkUn were talking like it was a foregone conclusion, but the game was recorded and I am yet to see any video evidence of an offense

Spitting is disgusting I hate it , the only reasoning would be pro athletes produce lots of mucous from extraordinary lung activity.

If Borja aimed at another player I can't defend him but if every player was retrospectively banned for 6 games every time they gobbed , then there wouldn't be many players left .

After the Kenny bullshit I'm half expecting more ridiculous decisions before the end of the season.

Agree with this wholeheartedly
