Was weird last night, an atmosphere of disbelief.

Happy for Baines/Coleman to get a win, but they are just a short term fit.

Nice to see Everton want to continue their tradition of boring negative football. Fair play to them historeeee is important so getting some bloke who's done a bang average job once before is a superb move.

I only really started following football from the early 90s so for most of that time Everton have been fighting relegation (successfully!). The Moyes era was the only time I can think of where they were consistently performing at a good level (finished 4th and 5th iirc), beating tops clubs and had more than 1-2 players I looked at and thought could do a job at a top club.

It's slim pickings but he's probably the only time in the last 30 years they've been better than average. Also, average would be a massive improvement right now.

Fighting relegation is a bit of a myth. Couple of times in the 90’s and this/two before.
