Was weird last night, an atmosphere of disbelief. Happy for Baines/Coleman to get a win, but they are just a short term fit.
More woke nonsense tonight with Villa reserves v West Ham reserves when all we want is Hereford v Newcastle or Coventry v Sutton.
Arsenal I suggest he gives Sterling a phone call before that happens. Will Newcastle pay Isak's wages as well?
Odd. I'd prefer if my player got more goals, couldn't give a **** whether he won an online popularity contest.
Dyche managed Everton for 97 games, meaning he did a total of 96 post match interviews roughly speaking.
David Moyes being interviewed for the Everton job ... it's coming home ... Ponky would take him at Arsenal ... not sure that's a positive
Nice to see Everton want to continue their tradition of boring negative football. Fair play to them historeeee is important so getting some bloke who's done a bang average job once before is a superb move. New stadium, old skool football.
I only really started following football from the early 90s so for most of that time Everton have been fighting relegation (successfully!). The Moyes era was the only time I can think of where they were consistently performing at a good level (finished 4th and 5th iirc), beating tops clubs and had more than 1-2 players I looked at and thought could do a job at a top club. It's slim pickings but he's probably the only time in the last 30 years they've been better than average. Also, average would be a massive improvement right now.
