How are Labour doing after their first 12 months

I was listening to something the other day, that was questioning following the father who brutally beat and killed his child - it centred around whether schools should monitor all children, so children who are taught at home, have report to a school let's say for sake at least once a month.

The reply was, though that could work with children who were part and part taught, school and home, they didn't think it should apply to home teaching only children and it would cause uproar if that was applied. Uproar, so fooking what, all kids have to abide by teaching, so why not stick another rule in there that anyone taught solely from home has to report into a school every so often.

It's no different for adults that work from home, they have to maybe report into work physically at least once a week or month. They need to stop making excuses and get the points pushed through in law.

You know, in some parts of Europe (dunno about Finland) they do that.

I know people who were taken from parents and I know cases in which the local authorities informed a foreign couple that the food their child is eating is simply appalling, not good enough and they don't care if it's cultural. Improve it or they will take the child. It's super strict. That was a Hindu couple btw.

The UK has always had a problem with this, I remember being in school and seeing kids who were clearly neglected and the teachers didn't give a flying ****. Only cared about GCSE scores.

Was it baby P? Who was beaten to death and social services ignored it. Called out multiple times, did nothing.

You don't even need the sound the two tweets say it all. <laugh>

Thing that people keep forgetting, Elon Musk is a well certified bipolar case, the guy is all over the place.

Not to mention over the past 5 years his ego has gone completely insane, so Nigel saying "I don't agree with everything he says" has definitely wound him up.

I didn't know Elon Musk was bipolar lol....that will explain a lot then.

Elon has said previously on purchasing Twitter that he "doesn't really know why he did it" he himself has stated he has bipolar but if he has ever received an official diagnosis is something he hasn't revealed.

I think the Twitter purchase is the most obvious moment of him doing something stupid when he was having a manic episode. He agreed to purchase twitter for an obscene price and later very publicly tried to pull out of the deal when he regained his senses, Twitter took this matter to court saying they had a legal agreement from Musk's lawyers.

I think ever since this incident Musk has not been the same, he's all over the place rn.

The good side of Musk is things like Starlink and SpaceX's new technology, those things are so impressive tbh.

He's right in that Farage isn't fit to lead a party. But **** knows who he'd shoehorn in there instead of him.

The whole premise is ****ed up though. World's richest man, friend of Trump and certified loon trying to call the shots in UK Politics.

This is what happens when people consume too much twitter.

So I'm taking that as...because Elon was promoting Tommy and Farage has denied all links with Robinson, Musk has taken that as some slur on his judgement, therefore thrown Nigel under the big red bus.

I agree mate, I think the Tommy Robinson thing was a step too far for Farage.

Farage is on project "professionalise" right now. He doesn't want Reform to become a new UKIP full of rejects and loons. They want to seem like a serious party.

It looks that way. It might have something to do with Musk supporting AFD in Germany too, which Farage would probably try and distance himself from.

But this is how these people operate, Trump is the same, extremely thin skinned and takes any criticism as a personal sleight, then throws those people under a bus.

Yeah I saw Musk was trying to reverse out of the Twitter deal, not that I blame him it was absolutely stupid money and never worth it. He's completely ruined the joint now as well. He's chucking so much advertising in there to recover his costs, and it explains why he keeps Twitter manic, because he needs people to be triggered and visit to get the advertisement revenue clicks.

I think that's part of it, but it's also a massive reflection of his personality. I think he's a guy who just can't help it, he's just wired that way.

Obviously being extremely rich and powerful also means that there is nobody to keep him in check, he can basically do and say whatever the **** he wants.

Just read that Musk is worth $450B

God damn <yikes>

That in itself is obscene

The west has allowed its democracies to be bought out by rich megalomaniacs

@BobbyD highlighted the other day, this is exactly why China doesn't allow any foreign influence in it's politics or internet
