Our elderly and disabled don't have to pay for having an extra bedroom in their council house and, In general, the cost of living is much cheaper up here than it is in most of England. Apart from our 100% renewable generated electricity for which we pay the highest tariffs in Britain for the privilege of shipping it England and Northern Ireland. As for the myth that Scottish NHS is worse than its English equivalent! Acceptances to Scottish institutions for home students increased by 7% to a new high of 31,220, according to the latest UCAS statistics.
