Yeah he would be good player for us but he doesn't get on with NC and NA so no chance of him returning to saints.

Sadly no, we too have our share of idiot's in Chapel. They actually booed Saints off at half time. I know the first half was diabolical but to boo them off? It was a group of about 6. I have known them to be some of the Saints strongest critics in the past rarely have I heard them say a good word. Yet I gather they have been season ticket holders for the past 10 years!! All you can hear them do all game is moan moan moan. That is why you will often hear me shout Guly,Guly, Guly during a game...stops them moaning about him!
There are a couple of blokes behind me who are on Guly's back from start to finish no matter what he does. They were the same with Puncheon.

Morning, Beddy. As people of our advancing years know, we've always had moaners. I recall Channon getting stick, Lambert gets it from some even now, and even Le Tiss had his fair share of critics. There are some souls who don't recognise a player who has lost interest - and we've had them - and one who needs a boost of confidence. Ricardo Fuller was treated horrendously by a section of the crowd, and then Puncheon more recently.
Punch was/is a class act, and while I trust Adkins totally, it seems sad that some unknown major bust up has led to the lad wasting his talent. I'd love to see him back in a Saints shirt, but realise it is unlikely. As for the moaners I like your reaction, Beddy, but make no promises that one day I'll not hit one with my zimmer!
Incidentally, Fuller, Punch and Guly are all black .. there couldn't possibly be a racist element at SMS could there?!

It wasn't so much a "growing negativity", but more a case of less confidence in the air. I felt at times during periods that Hull kept the ball well, the fans enthusiasm dropoped a little. We need to be right behind the team no matter what. At the start of the second half, we all really got noisy, and the team responded... let's keep it going all game against Blackpool.
I think Channon on H2O has hit on an important point here. I agree that despite having come so far there may still be a deep seated racist element to many less educated football fans.
My dad (who is 66) was recently assaulted in a pub for objecting to a man who called guly a black c**t! This was after he scored the equaliser against Hull!

I think fans get on the teams back a lot because quite a few don't understand football properly and the way we are trying to play. Instead of the fans getting behind the team at 2-1 up against Hull on Tuesday night, you could tell the grumbles and nerves transferred onto the pitch.
I agree some fans have never played the game and dont understand why you cant win every game and that you could ever pass a ball to an oponent. Our fans are the most unforgiving fans ever. I wish they would grow up. Lets face it the team have been brilliant. Thats not to say you cant criticize them on the web and in the pub, but at the games we should get behind them no matter how they are playing. That is what fans are for. Cheering the great goals is the easy bit. If you sit next to a negative tom we should stand up to them
There is nothing wrong with thinking a player is poor or not playing very well, but to boo or constantly moan is another thing. I sit in the Northam and if we lose to Blackpool, I can see quite a few of them booing. We should just look at Leeds for a positive example. They were losing 5-0 to Blackpool the other week and their fans were phenomonal, getting behind the players and all.
